not many notice robben talent.....why?

i think messi is better than robben. messi has wonderful dribbling, good ball control and shoot accuracy with his left foot. messi also has talent like maradona and his fans call him "the new maradona" its so good for the young player like messi. its just my opinion :)

Robben is no doubt a good player, but you cannot compare him with Messi. He is good as a winger, but if you look at Messi's touch and control on the ball it is much better than Robben. Also, when playing for bigger clubs against big clubs, Robben has been more or less ineffective compared with Messi. So I feel that Messi is definitely better than Robben, but yes Robben would still be amongst the top wingers in Europe. Regards, Ram

i think no one can doubt that this is year of messi.robben is good but when you compare messi and robben it`s unfair i think.messi is forward and robben is winger.they had more different skills and ability.but in my mind, messi is still the best

Better than Messi? oh my... .Maybe he has a bit more technique than Messi. But he plays on his own, he is very selfish. Its football( soccer, wherever you want to call it) not tennis. The Netherlands team on Germany 06 failed totally, but Robben did a "decent" competition cause he played on his own, which made his arrival to Real Madrid. He had the chance to "conquer" the world playing in Spain, and he lost all his chances, his arrogant style ( and also defenders , stealing lots of balls to him , i can swear you), even when winning a Spanish league- playing in a fairly level- those things made his time at Madrid a real failure. (While Messi won 2 Champions League buts that another point .) I think he is a good player, but he has to change his mind ( and quickly, he is 26, while Messi is 22, but again, thats another point) if he wants to be considered at least the player of the year of the Bundesliga (up to now he didnt been the player of the month yet, hope he get that honour soon...) Ok, now yes, all the Messi thing. He is 22, an enormous future yet, but at his age he was the fifa player of the year, he won 2 Champions League, a Club World Cup. Well, i wont discuss Messi´s level, everyone know how he plays on Barcelona, and everything.
