If you're looking for something free, AVG has a good program and the free version does regularly update. I run it on two of my computers...Norton on the other one. Between our business and home use, my husband and I are online for several hours every day. There are a lot of programs out there so I suspect that you'll get a lot of suggestions.

These are the two I would suggest. Norton is better but it costs money. I had Avg and it worked fine. Though We did get a virus that manage to slip through avg. It was anitvirus soft. Anyway I suggest Norton. Though you have to pay it is worth it and nothing slips through it. Nothing I have found yet.

And coming to nortan the same problem arises , i need somemore antiviruses which are friendly with my systm :) Waiting for more suggestions !!

KIS and KAV are good choices. I was using them for a year. But actually it was a it heavy and aggressive I feel.

well, if you want a full version just go to a store. I do suggest PANDA since I've had it for over a year with little to no problems. It catches viruses pretty quickly and blocks a lot. They have regular updates and automatic scans. Depending on where you look you can find it at a good price.

Try Microsoft Security Essentials (www.microsoft.com//Security_Essentials/) It was recently released as a free download to genuine Windows users, compatible with XP, Vista, and 7, and has realtime protection. I use it on an XP computer and it saps the least resources of any other AV/anti-spyware program I have used in the past.
