Hii , First afall i done like typingdont think that i dont kno , iam above average in typing . but i hate chatting for a long time . I thnik its wastage of time through chatting coz the real intention and emotions cannot carry to others while chatting and it takes more time for little message to convey . And most importantly the topic goes diverted everytime , focus cannot b maintained while chatting . these are only few things of not liking chatting !! What about you guys hav you also encountered the same probs, how many hours can u chat for ?

I can stay chatting for days with my friends on my IM. I can get my message through with no problems and I can express many emotions using emoticons and other resouraces. I can't stay all the time with my friends in real life so that's why I just love chatting whenever I have nothing to do!

I wouls say that I am in that same boat, especially because I use facebook and twiiter a whole lot, i stay chatting with my friends online for hours, more than likely days if I could. We can have meaningful conversations sometimes or just be talking about absolutely nothing at all.

hello chinna, I'm not really fond of chatting online especially with people I don't really know or just met. I always put my YM on hide mode or sleep mode because I don't want to be bombarded with IM's from friends. Haha! I still prefer phone calls or text messaging. But I sometimes chat on Facebook and I can last an hour or two.

Hey dani , I do prefer invisible mode coz for sometimes many friends more than 5ppl come onlin together and waiting for our reply if not they get mislead that we'r avoiding them and not intrestd in them anymore..howw sadd.. so, i only chat wit my selected friend only being invisible . :) LOL

I don't always use Instant Messaging, or IM for short, except during work where I have to communicate with my counterpart or suppliers overseas because that's cheaper than making trunk calls. Personally, I think chatting online is a time waster. If I need to communicate wth a friend on some matters, I would give him a call - no miscommunication, and I get to convey my message fast.

Hi Chinna, It really depends,I usually prefer to sign in in the invisible mode as i dont like to chat much only in case of any emergencies or if i need any details then i chat for a max of 2 hours, i cannot chat more than that. Have a great day.

i can chat for endless hours. but it can be very time consuming and can be hard to keep my eyes on the screen for a cirtain amount of time. eventually i would need to let my eyes have a rest.

It depends on who I'm talking too, but usually I get bored after one or two hours. Chatting is a nice and easy way of talking to multiple people at once, especially on sites such as Facebook.

Do you mean like chatting on msn and instand messanger sites? Well for me It really depends on the day and how I feel. Some times I can talk to someone for hours where as with some Its only a few minutes and then thats it. If I cant get a interesting conversation started or have nothing to really say to the person than it can be difficult to continue one. I really having those one word convos where you are just like "hey" and "whats up". It gets old especially if you hear it everyday. i usually dont have that problem with my friends though, we can usually find something to talk about and can carry the conversation for a few hours or more.

could be for the whole day or not at all depending on the availability of the time. or if it's part of the schedule. but the thing is, not chatting alone but also doing some other things like research. :)

I can spend many hours doing chatting. I have a friend, he's from brazil. And when i chat with him, I can chat for 3 or 5 hours. I dont know why but when i chat with him, I never feel bored, even though we chat everyday for long hours. I always feel happy when i chat with him,coz i can talk about everything. We always can find an interesting topic to talk.
