Other say, missing someone is when you are thinking of that person when you are alone. But, psychologist say, missing someone is when you are thinking of that person even if you are with a happy crowd. Alone again..naturally.. :)

Yes, certainly I am missing my best friend most of the time. She lives miles away from me. I miss her even when I am in a middle of a happy crowd or even if I am with other friends. I miss her when I am on my holiday and seeing beautiful places, miss her and hope she is around to share the experience with me. I agree that missing someone is best exhibited when you think of that person even when you are in the midst of joy not just loneliness.

Me too. I miss my special someone,my best friend. Even though we're just a text away, I still miss him. His warmth. I don't feel this way before to anyone. :) Only to him.

I am missing someone - a friend who's also my fiancee's older sister, Nina. She recently passed away due to various illnesses she had been battling for almost 10 years. Her younger brother and my fiancee, Rey, and I were not able to bid her goodbye. We were in our respective offices that Wednesday morning of February 10 when we got the call about Nina's situation around 10am. She was given 2 hours to live. We rushed to get there but we were an hour too late. She was gone at 11:12.

Ever once in a while, I will think about my grandma who passed away three years ago (come May 2010). I miss her because she was such a sweet person. I remember things she told me when she was still alive like I can still hear her saying them in my mind. I guess this is maybe a different kind of "missing someone" than what you mentioned in your discussion, but that is what came to mind when I read it! Of course, I will remember my grandma for the rest of my life because she held such a special part in my heart. In life, though, I always miss my hubby when I'm not with him because I so enjoy the time we're able to spend together. It's like when we're finally together at the end of a LONG work day, my heart is happy and I'm content because it's like all is well like it should be!

ya! I'm really missing my husband. if you ask me where my husband is, whether he is away from me right now, I'll answer no. he's not going anywhere, he's just right here with me. I'm missing him because we had a quarrel since yesterday and we haven't fix our relation yet. I hate this and I'm really missing him, his touch, his tender kiss and his warm hug. :(

Yes i do believe in both definition. And yes I am missing someone right now. I miss my fiance, he is in a different country right now and I just can't control myself and miss him. We lived together for almost 2 months, could have been longer but his work needs him bad, and waking up each morning without him by my side is just a killer. The first two weeks was the worst, i cried everyday, almost every hour. It was so hard, i tried a lot of things, but everything reminds me of him, and its only him that can make me feel better.

Oh so sad but you have to be strong mike4me.. if you are really destined for each other then believe that true love waits. In time, you'll see how this long distance relationship keeps you stronger together and how LOVE keeps it burning. :) Stay in love!
