Most people are self centered. Because they want affection and attention. We rarely find people who are not selfish and will always listen to you.

Woah I just read an article in Psychology Today about that. It's true. We're not friends with people because we care about them; we're friends with them because they make us feel good about ourselves, offer us support, and remind us who we are.

I think you are pretty much right. If you are talking to them they arn't listenimng they are preparing an answere to what ever you said. or they are interuping because what you had to say is of no concequince

this is very very true - people are pleasure seekers and their main motivation even when being altruistic is based on self comparison - self preservation!

This is true for every normal human being.It is human nature, but honestly every person is self centered.That is why Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa are a class apart.

I think Gandhi and mother theresa are human too, so they are subject to human nature. Maybe they just have this faith in JESUS or their supernatural being they believed and make them to be self-less. That's only my opinion:)+
