to end political dynasty

In my province, a grand wedding was celebrated last week. This was a marriage of the son and daughter of two big names in politics in that province. This was no doubt a political advertisement since the groom had filed for candidacy in a town there. If he wins, this will be his first ever taste of a political status. Being a son of a famous man, there is no worry on his part that he will win the election. If only the people will decide, long ago has this political dynasty have eneded but no matter how hard the people do to end this, at the end of the day, you'll still see them in their barong waiving at the people with all smiles! Its really hard to end a political dynasty. Harder that hitting the bull's eye in darts, and finding a needle buried in the sand. They have power and control, solely with them, not sharing any minute percent to the people. What they say will be rules, no matter how many people rally in front of the city hall. This is a sad fact. The saddest fact I have ever thought of. And this will not end. My sons and grandsons still experience the dynasty's rules. Political dynasty must end, but no one knows how to. Do you know how? Would you?

I guess it is because of the colonial mentality we have with the Spanish rule for 300 hundred years. We were not able to remove from our system being to loyal to a certain influential family and from there we depended on everything that we can get from them. Political debts and personal debts are just one of the offspring of this. We tend to become complacent that a certain influential family rule over as for as long as we are not affected by their rule on them.

Even if what you said is true, it will still all end up in a dynasty. A one-man controlled locality. A pooled power. Isn't that a sign of selfishness?

I think it has something to do with the voters in the locality as well for as long as they would not stand up against it then it will continue to stay that way. If you would look into Isabela they were able to topple the family dynasty there by empowering their votes to Padaca who was a disabled person but was determined to fight the control of the province. Although right now there is this controversy that the counting of votes became unfavorable to Padaca I think it is the people of that locality can really change the way their placed is being controlled by these family dynasty. If people will continue to patronize them they will stay there forever.

The problem is, even if they vote for a new politician (not a member of the dynasty) still, the member of the dynasty will still reign.. that's the sad fact.

Political dynasties crashed in our place a long time ago.. And who did it?? He's a nobody but he did it!. Maybe the people are just tired of the dynasty that ruled our place because they are no good. Well, in God's time it would happen to your province soon.

If any of the people there will try to fight the dynasty, they will make it because the others will support him or her. The problem will come when his or her life will be treatened, because the dynasty has a lot of power.
