India
March 1, 2010 7:13am CST
It was one of the best ever T20 match . the match needed a super over to get the result. the New Zealand super star McCullam made the fastest century in t20 . he made 116 from just 56 balls.his knok included 8 sixes and 12 fours and MANY SCOOP SHOTS. his scoop shots were excellent. with the help of his century they put up a score of 214. Austrialia reached the same total with the help of white ,clarke and haddins batting. At last the super over give the result .Southee made the difference there. with the help of the win the series leveled 1-1.

yes it was a fascinating match as it came towards the end of the Australian batting innings. the young tim southee bowled two amazing overs in the end to take the match into the super over. and he bowled a really super over in the super over. new zealand could have easily won the match had nathan mccullam held on to a couple of chances or even hopkins had got the run out of white. white was lucky indeed.even though brendon mccullam got the century and ended up just one short of gayle and got the man of the match award i would say it was southee who won the match for new zealand.

whatever the reason is he did not get it. he comes in the opening so lesser deliveries cannot be an excuse. even sachin played one delivery in the last two overs to get to 200.

sachin could have comleted the 200 before four overs, but he was able to comlete it only at the last over. like that it some time happen in matches that some one who needs the strike will not get it . it happened with McCullam too.

McCUllam got only one ball to face in last over ,otherwise he would have put the world record

I am unlucky to miss one of the best t20 match between Australia and New Zealand. As yo have said about the maccullam it is unbelievable. He has been in bad form in recent past but have done a great job in this match.I can only say best of luck to new Zealand best of luck for rest of the matches.

yes McCullam was not in form in past times. its good to see him in good touch. it will help New Zealand in ODI and KKR in IPL.

Even i missed such a great action packed match. It was high scoring one with fastest century in the 20-20 match. Also people enjoyed the unique tie-breaker with the new concept of Super Over. And this made Kiwis Win over Aussies and Southee turned as the Super bowler bowling a great super over. Australia chased the scored handsomely till the last bowl but unfortunately Clarke was out in the end. McCullum played a good knock in his very attacking style which has still made him one of the dangerous batsmen in the world.

I have saw it in the news that new zealand have leveled the series against australia in an thrilling last t20 match. It was great to see back Brendon McCullum in action after his bad run in the IPL. The interesting thing about the match was that it was draw and then was decided in a super over action. God! I missed that interesting match!

Oh my Gosh! What game it was and what a show that was by Brendon McCullam. The second In the history of One day Internationals so far to score a Century and just stay back by one run for the record that Chris Gayle of West Indies had set up of 117 against South Africa in the T20 2007 opening match. Brendon McCullam had style, aggression of course ,no patience rather and a tremendous hand eye coordination to say the least!I loved him and everyone who love cricket. As you say too the century was backed up by an outstanding bowling performance by Tim Southee in the crucial final overs and the super over to win the match.West Indies lost the match that made Gayle's century rather fade away, but here it wasn't the case. Hats off to a brilliant display in batting and leveling the series against the No.1 team in the table of ICC rankings.Brendon McCullan scored 143 or so runs in I P L which didn't had much scoops but this definitely had everything!

yes the perfomance of mcCullam was brilliant. he played with tremendous hand eye cordination. the yorker balls comming to stumps were scooped to boundry. i think his form will be helpful for ODI series
