i think you are still young at 19. they say that you have to start your tests when you reach the age of 35. and i am now 43. my first time to have my blood take was when i had my first child at age 29.

since im pregnant i always have blood test every month. my last blood test was not ok as my white blood cell is more than my red blood cell and my red blood cel is already below normal. and so i need to take ferrous sulfate everyday aside from my other prenatal vitamins. they also advise me to at least go out under the sun and so i did everyday since i just stay at home the whole day for many months now thats why i also look pale.

I had my first blood test when I was in junior high school. I was about 12 years old at that time. actually I didn't care of having blood test but my school made us doing that test. but it's ok, cos it's free and I finally knew what my blood type is. LOL.

i do a blood test once a year. the blood test are for the liver function, renal function, cholesterol and fasting blood sugar. besides this, i go for urine test and do my blood pressure.i go for dental check up too. the results are normal. its good to do an annual medical check up to know my level of health. it gives me peace of mind and rest. i am 60 years old. in your case, its advisable to ask your doctor, how often you need a medical check up as you are still quite young. the result of your medical check up you just did will provide a baseline for future blood test. health is wealth.
