Do you hang your clothers after using or put them on the used clothes basket?

Can you answer this question? I found out that clothes put directly to the basket would really smell 'something' so I changed my habit... putting them to the hanger... and if not really used, for example wearing them in just few hours, then I will use them again to save water, soap hahaha....

I don't have a hamper. I have a pile of clothes on the floor in my bedroom and when it gets too high I wash my clothes.

I usually put my clothes directly in the hamper, and we put our hamper in the laundry room where there is open air, so it won't smell bad. Sometimes I do what you do, I put back the clothes which I only used for a couple of minutes, like I changed my shirt because I need to go outside to buy something, then I would definitely put the shirt back in the clean closet.

Hi, primeaque86. I don't wear them again if they are dirty. But if they look and smell clean, I will hand them up or fold them and wear them again. It all depends on how many times that I have worn them that makes a difference too.

Yes that is it cream97... I wear my clothes again of they are slightly used, but for pants, I usually used them 5 times... or it depends if they are dirty looking and smelling already... and one mylotter her have a good suggestion, I used to hang my wet used clothes, which is not good... because mosquitoes may hide on them.. he/she shared that they will put directly their used clothes to the hamper but they place it in the area where there is an open air, perfect right? There would no bad odor then...

Yes I got it niel, my neighbor also who have 4 children will have a daily laundry of their used clothes... maybe if your wife would wait for one week to laundry your clothes then could be like mountain hehehe.

Very good for you niel... my partner now, since she stay in the house often, she would remind me always not to put directly the clothes in the basket because she would laundry it twice or once a week... it would hang first for few hours before putting into the laundry basket... and sometimes if I had just slightly used it, I would use it again for her sake to laundry a dozens... LOL

it would be so tiring for wife and to all of us (5 kids plus me and wife) to do the laundry on a weekly basis. that would be too much clothes to get washed. it is better for wife to do it daily with less clothes to wash.

if im not going to wear them again then of course i will going to put them in the laundry basket, but if like jeans i just hang it coz i will be using it again, i dont really wear jeans once as i can wear them many times as long as its still clean unless theres dirt already. yes your right i also hang some other clothes and wear them again to save water like if i wear my shirt and go out to buy foods outside and i just stay 2 hours outside and go back home then i dont think my shirt is already dirty for just 2 or maybe 4 hours so i just hang it and wear them again but not on the next day but on the other day so no one will notice that i didnt wash them

Nice idea my friend... yes, sometimes I'll use my slightly used clothes the next following day so that no one can notice, it just too embarrassing if they notice you are wearing your clothes twice a day even if do not know that it is not dirty... and jeans? many of you here said they actually using there jeans twice or more... me 1 week... or more if I am too busy to wash specially if they are not really looking dirty... and if you wash always your jeans it would become old then because the detergent would wash out the color of it... I am just too thankful now that my partner would wash my used clothes now... I am just going to wear and wear... hahaha...

Personally, i put used clothes on a hanger first and let it dry for a few minutes before putting it in the laundry basket so that it wont be smelly especially if you were sweating on it. For my jeans, i'll definitely hang them coz i re-wear them twice before washing them unless it got mud due to the rain. It not only saves me the water and soap but it also helps preserve my jeans. hahaha

Hi my friend, That is a good practice my dear... hang the clothes specially if you are sweating the whole day... my mother taught me about that, I just forget sometimes specially if I am busy... but thanks to my partner, she would patiently remind me... and jeans... hahaha, almost everybody here share that they practically wear their jeans again... me, a week, see?

I hang clothes in my room if I use it only for a short time and use it again. If I use it for the whole day then I will throw it in the basket of dirty clothes. My maid will do laundry once in three or four days. It is not advisible to keep the dirty clothes together in a basket for many days. It will give a bad odor and soemtimes even spoil the clothes, especially during rainy season.

I always put worn clothings into the laundry basket. The clothings will not be kept long in the basket, so there wont't be any noticeable odours. When laundry time comes, these clothings will be deposited into the washing machine. However, if the clothings are sweat-soaked, for example after a game of soccer, it's best to get it washed as soon as it is taken off.

Hi prime, I put my used clothes directly in my laundry basket, even if I only wear it a few hours. With the exception of jeans, I usually wear it at least three times before putting in the basket. But with clothes, they go directly to the hamper. I was told by my mom that wearing the clothes you've worn before without washing can be a source of body odor. So I make it a point that the shirt has been washed first before I wear it again. ;)

I put the used clothing straight to the laundry basket. For me, it really does not matter if they get smelly because they are going to be washed anyway. I don't re-use clothes once it's already in the laundry basket.

i dont re-wear used clothes so they directly go to the hamper, if i hang them it will attract mosquitoes so its better to crumnple them up and shoot them on a basket or something away from your room.

Good idea greypish... Sometimes clothes would be old looking if we wash them frequently, specially if machine washed... or if wash with a bleach detergent... Me, I am more prefer to ordinary detergent for my clothes, well I have no white ones...
