Can tea bags alleviate dark circles under the eyes?

I am sitting here drinking my morning tea, and it got me to wondering if tea bags can help alleviate dark circles under the eyes. I guess the tea bag would have to be wet, but would the effectiveness of alleviating dark circles also depend on the type of tea? Like would mint or peppermint tea work better tham chai or black tea? I just think it is cool to find other interesting uses for the everyday items we have in our house, like tea. I wonder what else tea bags can do. Tea anyone?
