State Sovereignty Resolution take Two

United States

For those of you who don't know. There was a big push last year for a state sovereignty bill in my state... it got nasty and mean. Those of us that pushed it got called "racist, a cult, fringe, and crazy" by some politicans in public sessions of the house. And the thing got killed in a BS parlimentary move that kept it even from being voted on.We had the votes needed to pass it. Those of us that got our butts handed to us on this one did not go away quietly. It is back. We got it resubmitted and we are ready for round two.The Sovereignty Resolution, S424. We got in out subcommittee. Of course admentments and "add on" got put on to it..which ticked us off..but what can you do? Well we once again we have enough votes if we can get up for a vote. But some are stalling it. As of today it got pushed back for the SECOND TIME. It was first adjourned on the 3rd til today..now today they adjourned it til the 9th. Fustrating is an understatement. It really should not be this hard to get a common sense bill voted on and passed. This is really draining us too. Everytime they say they are going to vote we group up, take the day off and go to the state capital to support it...only to go back home because it gets pushed to another day. YOu know they (the couple of politicans that are dead set against it) are doing this on purpose. I hate the stupid games they play sometimes. Why such a big fight over a common sense bill? Why is this such a fight? And yes it is following party lines here. A majority of Republicans supporting it and the democrats for the most part aren't and a few taking as a personal challenge to kill it.

Make your state use it. Put preasure on them. As for my state...this has really turned into a much bigger fight than I thought it was going to be. I will be glad when we finally get it up for a vote and can move on to other bills and issues.
