The question is simple, do you like them or not, if so why? We are talking here about fantasy, scary (for someone) monsters... is there any in particular that scared you or that maybe you like... vampires, zombies, ghosts, frankstein, IT.. Hannibal Lecter... there are many around, tell me which ones you like and which one you hate.

The monsters that scare me the most are the people that look like you and me. Like the people that you see every day at public places, on the street, and everywhere around you. They can be at workplaces, churches, schools, or even next door for all you know. You could go up to them and shake their hand and talk to them while having a pleasant conversation with them and not even know what who they are. I am talking about dangerous criminals. Murderers, rapists, child molesters, and other people who commit heinous crimes. You never know who they are because they look like any other human that you would see on the street. Those monsters hide behind a mask of humanity but they are anything but. At least horror movie monsters, what you see is what you get. You never know if people on the street could be dangerous. To me, those individuals who are would be the scariest monsters of all.

Oh, as for me, zombies are kind of just there for me. Don't really like them or hate them. They are just there. And obviously, since, I obviously do not like the monsters that I mentioned in the above post, I find myself kind of partial to vampires. Providing they do not sparkle that is.

I really have to say you are right, somehow those are the "real" monsters, sad to say but it's true. And those are the monster that we all fear and whish we never have to meet or deal with. Thanks for your comment...

mmh zombies are not so nice creatures eheeh...in particular i don't like them as fantasy monsters...in some movies can be ok but in general zombies i think they are not very good...ma be vampires can be more interesting from this point of view may eb because they show them as a dark charm that many other fantasy monsters haven't it!!

I personally don't see zombies being that scary. I actually love them, they are funny in some way, the way they more, the dumb expression in their faces and so on, I like them and I enjoy zombie movies a lot. And the thing that makes it exciting is that once bitten people will be infected, so even your good friends can become zombies, I like the being infected thing in zombies, vampires and warewolves, btw have you seen Wolfman at cinema?

I'm not really into zombies, but I love vampires, werewolves and the like. I'm an avid ghost hunters fan-I watch everything I can on the topic. I'm creeped out by trolls, serial killers, and that thing they call the chubacabra.

Wheww! One less monster on my list then and I agree, it had to be something like that-but the idea behind it is primal. I think that's what scares me about trolls and serial killers..there's no romance like in the movies with vamps and werewolves..zombies, trolls and serial killers are usually shown as savage creatures.

hehe. Do you mean that you think it's not possible that vampires warewolves and so on have romance??? I think the the twilight saga it's pretty interesting, I read the first book and some parts are clearly made to let girls dream, but new moon (the movies) has more action and so much more enjoyiable by guys too.

For what I know the Chubacapra was proven a false, it was probably just some wild dogs or maybe wolves..

Oh~I am very sorry to say I hate all of them indeed because If I watched some thrillers during the day I would take me couple of horrendous hours to fall asleep at night.I can't stand even one sight of them which may makes me nervous about anything around me so I never watch horror shows when I am in video center.

Ghosts scare me when I watch ghost adventures. It just is tempting me to believe they exist.

I guess many people get scared at the idea of ghosts, for the simple fact that we are always scared of the unknown , something we can't see but could be there and could pop out anytime.. creepy. I once saw a terrible video on youtube, it was probably fake since I don't believe in ghosts, but the video itself scared me a lot and I couldn't sleep hehe

I agree, vampires are kind of cool, especially the new generations ones, are you then a fan of the twilight saga or maybe any of the new books and movies?? Vampires are pretty much popular these days all around the world, I have seen many movies will come out on the cinemas and the book stores are full of books that talk about vampires' stories.

I have never been scared of vampires, zombies, werewolves or any of those sort of "movie" monsters, in fact now I actually love them. As a kid, I was alwasy really frightened of aliens. For mem, E.T. was the scariest movie ever, lol! To this day I haven't seen it, it still creeps me out.

It's the same for me, I like zombies and so werewolves and vampires. I have heard several times of people being scared by E.T. I honestly don't get it, I loved him, he was a nice friendly alien, also a friend of mine told me he was so scared and he still is haha, the other one that seems to be pretty common is IT many people hate clown because of that movie.
