I might be going on a 6 hour bus ride to go and see a friend next week, and so I really need a book suggestion to read to pass the time while I am travelling. I am not so much into old books like Jane Austen and Shakespere because I feel like I have to decipher it but I am open to basically anything besides those...so please tell me what your favorite books are...and perhaps I will take it as a poll and if somthing gets the most votes, then I will go and buy it :)

Two books I've read recently are Under the Dome by Stephen King and The Help by Kathryn Stockett. The two are quite different from each other so perhaps if one doesn't appeal to you the other will. Under the Dome is quite long so if you chose that one you probably wouldn't have to worry about finishing it before your trip was over!

My sister's keeper was a great book. Had a hard time putting it down. Another great book that comes to mind is "The Lovely Bones". An all time favorite of mine is "Flowers in the Attic". It is a series but it starts there and will hold you on edge thru the entire series. I've read it 3 times over the years and there are not many books that I go back and read again.

Oh boy! I am the person to talk to! lol. I have afew books I can suggest, each one I was literally unable to put down and finsihed them very quickly! So you might want to get a couple lol The first is Dean Koontz's book called Watchers. It's AWESOME! That's all their really is to say about that! lol Check it out! :) Another is called Bad Men, and it's by John Connelly. This book has it all--GREAT characters (good and bad), action, horror, suspense....mm mmm mmm! lol Another book I enjoyed a lot is called Contest by Matthew Reilly! Had a big plot twist in the beginning of the book that I didn't see coming. But this is sure a creepy story!

My 2 favorite books are The 50th Law and Artemis Fowl. If you like books that offer way around things like fear then try reading The 50th Law its a book on strategy's. Its main theme is fearlessness it a good read and it might take a while to finish. The second book is a fantasy novel that offers a lot of conflict between good and evil. These both might help the time pass.

Hi! That sure is one long ride. I've been in a 7-hour bus ride and all I did was try to sleep my way throughout the whole travel Anyway, I'm not much of a reader and have only read some. If you haven't read it yet, I'd like to suggest A Catcher In The Rye. It's entertaining and easy to read. Funny too. I hope this helps, have a fun and safe travel!

Yes, 6 hours is a long ride. If you are looking for novels, you might want to browse your local library for bestsellers. Thrillers or suspense novels will certainly absorb you for hours. If novels are a bit long for you, then you may want to read short stories instead. In this way, you would be able to read quite a number of stories. Also, if you know the game Sudoku or intend to learn about Sudoku, then the 6 hours will be the best time to learn or play Sudoku. There are many books out there with hundreds or thousands of Sudoku puzzles. Regardless of what you choose to read, I wish you a safe and happy journey.
