Your bad habit, which you like to change but unsuccessful?

This is also my biggest problem that I can only overcome sometimes. No, setting the alarm on my phone doesn't work. In fact I woke up late today. It's a bad habit, and I'm asking for help from my family to wake me up because it is such a chore. It just annoys me that instead of helping me they actually have to put me down by saying I don't wake up anyway. I'm a busy person, I have to stay late at night to finish homeworks and other projects. I'm so tired I just want to sleep the summer away after I graduate.

I have about 5 to 10 bad habits: talking too much, not listening to others, interrupting, forgetting to brush my teeth twice a day, staying up all night without proper sleep, not resting when I am sick, etc. None of these habits I have been able to rid myself of. However, one bad habit I had was keeping my fingers far away from the keys on my saxophone. I couldn't play any faster, because of finger speed, and the fact that I lifted my fingers too far from the keys and going back down took longer. I tried various plans, but I couldn't figure out what I could do to resolve this. One day my instructor told me to put a rubber band around my saxophone preventing my fingers from lifting too far. I kept it there and slowly I learned by pain and sores to lift my fingers just enough to make the sound proper but allow for quick note changing. I know this may sound like a geeky bad habit, but now I don't have it.

I think what would i really want to change is how i spend money, because i know i don't spend it wisely, even a single peso if i like something i would really like to buy it. What do costly me to spend is just food. Not really into buying unnecessary things. Even i just finish eating and when i see something that I want and like to eat, even i just finish eating something, I would really take a peso out of my pocket to buy that. Sometimes I try to control myself but sometimes the wantness of that food would always prevail.

Hi vine, One thing that I really want to change myself is do not know how to talk habit. Not only to the strangers but to my immediate family too. I always lost of idea on what to say next. There is always a long pause if my talk partner stop talking. Usually I only say a little. I prefer to listen to others and say something that I think is important. BUT, this thing does not apply online. I can say much much more here especially when we talk about football (soccer). I think my hand work faster then my mouth.

Well, i advice you to make or spend much time with a talkative friends, who loves to joke. Who is really talkative. I also don;'t like to talk unwanted things, i am less talkative too. I think you don't like to comments on things you don't know . It;s really a good habit. Mine is also the same. If we don't knot then it;s better not to talk about that subject. It's a good habit (its not bad habit.) I think you love soccer.. are you a player too...I think you play football from childhood too.. Thanks.

hi vine my worst bad habit that I do have trouble trying to change, is eating sweet stuff that I know will shoot up my blood sugar. I know chocolate chip cookies are a no no, and pieces of gooey sweet pie are taboo, and knowing this, why cannot I just say no thanks. instead I eat the stuff then suffer high blood sugar, which is dangerous to my health and I know it too. So maybe its just a matter of having trouble saying, No I cannot eat that, Sometimes I can do it, I can say nothanks, I am a diabetic. So there is hope for me yet.

Nervousness is a kind of weird habit that has resisted me from getting my best.Catch me on a podium to give a speech or jutting over the exam paper or even with a girl asking to walk along with her,all you find rolled eye, stiff neck and trembling legs and mumbling and jumbling words and a feat of anger at home fighting with the inner self for not able to make it according to my otherwise potential dignity!!

that's not good, vine. later on, you will find that nobody wants to listen to you anymore. better take up to teaching and take all the time you have talking, never allowing your students to answer. well, for me, i am exactly your opposite. i like to listen, simple listen. i don't open my mouth unless asked to. if that's not good, then...

hi! yes, I have tried but without any success! I have tried to change my habit to eat a lot at supper and to not to eat that fast , because it is not healthy and eating a lot on supper is also harmful. but no matter how hard I try, i never have to do it successfully just because I love to eat :)

I have a nagging habit that went away for a few years, but is now back from time to time. Biting my fingernails is a bad habit I carry. Especially when I am really thinking about something, I tend to bite my nails even more. I even sometimes bite on the skin on my finger. I have really improved on that habit though. Now my nails grow to long because I am improving more and more each day on this nasty habit.
