Is there a TV show that you're pretty much glued to? If you can't watch it live, you DVR it, or watch it online, or hope to find some other way to see it? For me right now, that show is Project Runway. I know with this being the last season of LOST, a lot of people are hanging on every episode of that show. I don't watch it. Still others, going by some friends of mine, are constantly making sure they will be able to watch The Biggest Loser. I don't watch that either. I mean a lot of us watch more than one show, but is there one that you just really don't or "can't" afford to miss?

Hi AmbiePam! I personally would rather be on the computer then being in front of the tv because my daughter likes to watch her kiddie shows so either I watch those with her, or I'm on the computer, or I'm doing something for her little sister, or I'm cleaning, cooking, or doing laundry! Ugggggghhhhh a mom/wife/womans work is never done! Oops kinda lost my train of thought!BUT one show that comes on at night while the kids are sleeping is CSI and I usually drop what I'm doing to watch it if it's an episode I haven't seen before! I am hoping to get all of the seasons on dvd someday though! LOVE that show!

Do you like either one of the spinoffs - Miami or New York? Oh, and if you get a chance, check out The Mentalist. I don't watch it on a regular basis, but it's a good one.

If I had to chose between Miami or New York I'd pick Miami! I just thought about it after I hit post comment, but another show I HAVE to see if it comes on is Supernatural!

I've DVRed several programs this winter, but I've only watched some of them, which means I'm probably not "glued" to those. The ones I always watch: CSI, Cold Case, Numbers, the Mentalist, American Idol, and the Medium. The ones I have DVRed and not watched: NCIS, the Forgotten, Law and Order SVU, Bones, and there's a couple of others. I got way behind when the Olympics were on :}

The good thing is that some of those shows did reruns during the Olympics, so you might not have missed too many. Enjoy Cold Case though. It isn't coming back next year. I always thought that was a good show.

Thanks for the "best response". (As a Newbie, I didn't know we could check all of this information. Now I do, and thanks again.)

I do not have anything on my television that I cannot miss. I guess I am boring. Hubby likes a lot of the CSI and Mentalist and Numbers type of shows. I am always online with stuff playing on television in the background to keep me company. I used to like The Biggest Loser a lot.

I tried to think of the shows that I actually sit down and watch each week. The only one I could think of was Project Runway. I seem to catch the rest of the shows I like in reruns, or I wait until they come out on DVD and rent them through Netflix. I just don't seem to be able to make myself sit and watch them each week. I keep the TV on for background noise though, like you do.

I am hooked on tv shows on dvd. Now I want for all my series shows on dvd to come out and rent them on Netflix. It's great you don't have to watch commercials and I do like the extras they put on there. The only other show I can't miss is NFL Total access cause I love football.

Though there are some shows I like, like the CSI series, I think right ow I am really into NCIS,(The origianl) probably because of Ziva. (sp?) See my next book is in Israel and since she supposbily from there, I can get some idea of the people, though not everything. I also like the new one, but for different reasons..

Yes, the character Ziva is from Isreal. But the actress who plays Ziva is from South America. Chile or Argentina, I can't remember which.

Really, I didn't know that though I strongly suspected she wasn't Jewish or from Israel or she just didn't say anything because a couple years ago when Donoso, (sp?) was spring cleaning and she made the comment that in Israel they don't have spring cleaning because they don't have spring. That may be true, but they do clean in late winter early spring for passover, so she should have known about that kind of cleaning.

Hi pam, i know watching TV shows really get you hooked. I'm pretty excited to watch all those shows which you mentioned since I'm really not choosy except when the storyline's a total crap, I can tell, coz I will just have to stop watching. Recently, I just bought a downloaded sets of DVDs of Smallville. You know, the teenage Superman story. After I watched season 1 I just got glued to it to the point that I could finish up one season in 1 or 2 days. But that could really mess up with my already blurring eyes at the end of the day. I was addicted with Charmed too just lately but only got to watch it on Youtube. :)

Smallville just got renewed for a 10th season. I don't know if you have tried Netflix before, but you can rent the episodes of Smallville through them.

I think they'd ask you to pay, right. I checked it out and there was 8.99 dollars they'd be asking from you. I am currently on the 9th season yet and am downloading through torrent. I'm really hooked. And since I haven't found episode 15 for season 9 yet, I'm planning to go back to some episodes with stories that seemed absurd to me when I first watched it. Talk about being really addicted, huh?

What's your opinion on Mark/Lexie and how hypocritical he was?
• United States
6 Mar 10
Have you watched episode 16? Mark was really acting weird. I mean, he treated Alex like s#_t. Come on, he slept with Addison. And Lexie with Alex. I'm not saying what they did is right. They both made mistakes. But Mark's ego was probably too hurt to think straight.

For some reason, I never get tired of Law & Order - ANY Law & Order. You'd think after all these years I'd be sick of it but I'm not. Actually, since I haven't watched a lot of TV over the years, there always seem to be episodes of one or another of the Law & Orders that I've never seen.

You are not weird that is something you are interested in and you love. I am sure a lot of that is interesting and you probably learn something each episode. There is nothing wrong with any of the shows people pick.

hi ambiepam used to be the Oprah show and csi but now days here I cannot get to watch either one, some old duffer gets the controller and watches all the old bonanza shows so I leave the couch potatoes to the old reruns and come up here and get on my computer instead. so I end up my lotting and doing surveys instead.

Yes I do watch a lot of shows. I will say for me it is American Idol I have watched it since season one and will keep watching it for sure this year. After Simon leaves I don't know I may out of loyalty but it won't be the same.

Do you miss Paula at all?
@snoopyfan (1312)

No I don't miss Paula she never really had anything to say. She was okay in the early years but then I am not sure what meds she is taking and why but she just started saying things that made no sense. And I was getting tired of her cougar ways with the boys she liked. There always seemed to be one boy she had her eyes on. I will miss Simon a lot and am glad he is only leaving to start a new show. He is the only one who is honest and he does know what he is talking about in the music biz. I know a lot of people think he is mean but if these kids were in a meeting trying to get signed they would hear a lot of the same things. This is a business and it is not a nice one to make people feel good.

Criminal Minds and Lie to Me. These two shows really makes my day. I like their plot,the stories are great. I know to some its too gruesome but hey sometimes it really happens in real life. I just like the characters and how they have bonded and how the things can be solved through science.

The one show I just have ot watch is The Mentalists. It's actually on television at 10pm tonight, thats just 45 minutes away and I am just so excited by it. my husband thinks I am nuts because he just doesn't share in my enthusiasm for the show. Missing it is not an option for me I don't have a way of recording it so every friday night at 10pm you will find me glued to the television.

I usually don't watch too much TV other than the Young and Restless. If I don't catch it at the normal time, which I am usually at work. I will watch it on line or try to catch it on cable. It's the only show that I have ever really followed. Though I know if I miss a day or two I can catch back up with what is going on, I just don't like missing it!

I have certain shows that I love and most are on ABC. The one that I don't like to ever miss is Brothers and Sisters. I watch it no matter what. In fact I will plan my day around this show to make sure I don't miss it. If I'm out I have to get home before its on. I could probably see it online but its just not the same to me. I get so upset though when its just a repeat or its not on at all. Then my Sunday night is just not the same.

frankly, ambiepan, i don't watch television from a couch. most of the time also, i just listen to the audio and catch the video in the corner of my eye if the topic interests me. but there was a time when the level of interest for television shows reached addictive levels that i have to put off whatever i am doing for a particular show. also, when a miss a segment, i resort to calling friends whom i know also watch my favorite television show. that was before vhs and betamax was invented...

Oh yes, before I was so hooked on the TV show called "True Blood" but its season has ended well they are still working on the new one. I always download the series and kept them all in a DVD. Now I'm hooked on watching the Biggest Loser, Burn Notice, Medium, 18 to Life, Criminal Minds and Two and a half Men and Myth busters. I am just so hooked on watching them that I always makes sure I can download each one of their series. I can imagine my life without being able to watch even one episode, I mean I really don't want to.
