Why Not A Road To Damascus Experience For Richard Dawkins?

The Road to Damascus, Saul, who would become Paul, had just killed Stephan and now he was on his way to kill more Christians in Damascus. Just a little side note Saul was a good Jew and was killing in the name of God. On the way to Damascus Saul has an encounter with Jesus, and Saul is for ever more changed. In today's time there are modern day Sauls, like Communist leaders. Their are other that try to persuade people into not believing that their is a God. Some that come to mind are, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and the founder of the Rational Response Squad Brain Sapient. Brain Sapient goes so far as to have the whole Blasphemy Challenge where people post on YouTube that they deny the existence of the Holy Spirit, which they believe is the one unpardonable sin. As to Richard Dawkins is one of the leading scientific opponents to the existence of a God. Why should Saul get such a special treatment that Jesus would make Himself appear to Saul who did not believe in Jesus, but not to others that do not believe in Jesus?

The Bible says that near the end times there will be such people and maybe that's why Dawkins does not get a visit. Or, perhaps he needs to continue with his disbelief in order to get to the point where he is receptive to God's love. What I don't understand is why such people feel they need to campaign so tirelessly for their beliefs. If there is no God, I've not been hurt one bit and my life has been enriched by my faith. If there is a God and He doesn't care about us, I've still not been hurt and my life has been filled with hope and encouragement. Why the vitriol against my beliefs? It's not hurting anyone.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The problem is Paul/Saul had seen the advantage that no one else is privileged to. Even Paul wrote in Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

You are right 'God is no respector of persons'. He said blessed are those who have not seen and still believe. He said greater things than they did would we do. If you will stop and think things thru, that just goes to prove how strong and big and awesome and marvelous and wonderful God and His plan is. That because of what was started in the New Testament and much of it of Saul/Paul people are still believing and being saved and going to heaven today. Hallelujah!

Now how are we suppose to know what the answer to that is? God is GOD and humans are humans. God does what God does for the reasons GOD does them. IF I were to conjecture, I'd say that being a 'good Jew', a rabbi with much knowledge of the law and much righteousness in following it to the LETTER....God felt Saul was the man to spread the good news that Messiah had arrived. We in this modern world forget that the message Yeshua (Jesus) came to deliver was an entirely JEWISH message, based on the law and the prophets. Mr. Dawkins in a run of the mill rebellious human who will deny God even after he sees Him face to face, out of pride and rebellion. It's my understanding that MAN must at least seek God, to find HIM.

Saul was a chosen vessel by the Lord Jesus, who is the very embodiment of God. Saul was set apart from his mother's womb to be used by God in announcing to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. IT IS OF GOD that Saul, who become Paul, received revelation that the believers in Christ we're the constituents of the Body of Christ. We can never question that. It is NOT of us who runs, or wills or shows mercy but it is GOD. Saul served God out of his religion with the rituals and customs, but without reality..

Also, He chose such a one as Saul just to show how big God is and what He's capable of.

Because God knows all hearts, and knows who He chooses will be what He wants him to be or He would not choose Him.

Hey girl! God just gave me something for you. Such common sense, but He had to bring it to my attention. Your Dawkins was trying to prove there was no God. Saul was killing Christians, as far as He was concerned for God. He did not believe in Jesus, until Damascus. Saul loved God. Dawkins doesn't believe in Him.
