Let's talk about dark matter, this is what is suspected to be in all the places we thought were empty in space. Who knows what will come from teh exploration of this. But just for conversation let's say it exists. Now let us throw in the idea of God, all that is and all that ever was or will be. Can you think that big? I can and it opens so many possibilities. It also put's into some perspective how small all the worries, and expectations of our lives. So what I have to suggest is that the next time your life becomes unmanageable just take a few deep breaths and think really, really big. Who knows it may give you a little different point of view. We really are in control of very little in our lives after all. Blessings to all who are having little or no peace in their lives.

Well I will normally panic first but then calm down and think how to solve the Problem or Problems and after a while it flashes how to deal with it

You are so right Pat. If we were to stop and think about how little we can control in life; we would probably stop trying so much. Sometimes when things get too much and there is nothing left for me to physically do I turn my troubles to the Universe and wait for a sign as to which directions to move to. I guess it is a matter of looking at the bigger picture and realising how small a lot of our concerns really are.

You are right, when we take the focus off of ourselves and try to expand it and take in all that is out there. I love to look at the stars at night and feel the earth revolve and then I know it is not all about me.

I am always positive in life and always think big. Even when my bank balance is already in the red I l always dream big and wish to buy comfort in my life. It is widely acknowledged that it is easier to appreciate what is good when one has experienced the "bad". But the question today is not of 'experiencing' the bad. The challenge today is creating peace. And this cannot be done if we keep concentrating on destruction.

Hi savypat, Thanks for a great topic and yes I can think that big. Like everyone though, I have times when life seems unmanageable. I agree with taking a few deep breaths as it can work wonders. It's true that the little worries, that can sometimes seem insurmountable to us, become very small when we look at the big picture. I think you may have helped more than you think with this discussion. Blessings.

What a good odea, Pat. I'm not sure how big I can think. But I'll certainly bear it in mind and, if the need arises, I can try it and report back.

Hi, Pat! That's pretty much how I keep a positive slant on things and cope with all the complications that make life less than wonderful at times!

One of my favorite ways of relaxing has always been to close my eyes and try to travel to the ends of the universe. I never get there, of course, because my mind can't quite take it in, but the journey is fun! You are so right, in the grand scheme of things our little problems are incidental. I always comfort myself by realizing it could be worse, much worse!
