Do you like a nap at afternoon?
March 7, 2010 8:19pm CST
If I have a vacation, or I don't need to go to work, I usually have a habit of taking nap at afternoon hours. It is not that I am lazy, I just felt like I can take a little bit of nap, and I can refresh my mind again. Sometimes, I spend the whole morning working on something, and I just get tired easily later on. A nap might help me to refresh, and I can get more idea with a fresh mind. What about you?

Yes ! I too take the chance to have a nap at afternoon after lunch. It is said that one should take rest at afternoon for sometime but sometimes I feel very irritated on my this habit as it puts on a lot of weight also but i cannot resist because of my backache.Sometimes, I feel that it was nice in my school days when I did not get any time for this.....

I have enough problems tring to sleep at night so i would not go to sleep during the afternoon as then it would be even harder to get off to sleep at night.I find that during the day there are always alot of different things going on like the door keep going aswell as the phone keep ringing and then there are all the other noises like the traffic aswell so i would not be able to sleep in the afternoon.

It's difficult for me to start my work without taking a nap. I make it a point that I take even for only 30 mins. Usually, I take a nap for an hour from 1-2pm just before my first class at 3pm. I would feel very sleepy and it's difficult for me to concentrate if I can't have my nap. That's why I love my job now coz it allows me to take naps. Sleeping is just one of my favorite things to do. :)

I wish I could sleep in the afternoon. If I fall asleep, I tend to wake up cranky and am almost more tired than I was before I slept. One of my sisters can fall asleep for three minutes in the afternoon and her body clock wakes her up. She said she feels like a million bucks after.

I agree, there is nothing better than an afternoon snooze. The only problem I have with it is when I first wake up from my mid day snooze, its a little tough to get going in that first hour. On the other hand, once that hour is up, I feel like my battery is re-charged and I'm ready to go.

When I was a student, I did this everyday, a nap was really important for me, it made me focus on the classes at afternoon, if I didn't have a nap at noon, I always felt sleepy at the first class in afternoon, but since I begin work, I don't have a nap at noon any more, we have only a hour for lunch, so don't have time for a nap.

It depends. Sometimes I do, but it's often difficult to nap where I am, because I reside in the midst of a large residential development. However, I'll often crash for an hour or two in the evening. I function best these days if I can break it up with a short nap; it just takes then edge of that tiredness. On Sunday afternoon, I'll usually take a nap before evening church.

Hello, I like to take a nap in afternoon. It is always refreshing. But there is a problem. When I take an afternoon nap I find it difficult to sleep at night. I have now decided to give up taking the nap. But I've grown a firm habit, so its being hard to quit. Take care

If I have time in the weekend, I try to take a nap because it feels good after sleeping even just for a few minutes. Naps are very beneficial to our health. I've read somewhere that having a nap in the afternoon lowers stress levels, it increases the effectiveness of how we absorb information, it boost our brain power and it improves our mood.

If i'm not mistaken, there has recently been a study which states that having a nap during the day increasing productivity at work by up to 30 %. just found it interesting. My job does not unfortunately allow me to nap in the afternoon but whenever i get the chance to do so, i'm in. Although i do make it a point to sleep prior to a heavy night out..
