Imagine that you are in a trouble to repay your debt or mortgage, are you willing to sell your beloved house? What else can you do to get through the abyss without bartering away your assets?

I just built my home in 2005. It's what I wanted. But before I'd go under water, I would sell my home. Of course, I would try selling other things like my car, my boat, etc. first, but if worse came to worse, I'd sell the house.

My husband and I are very financially secure but, if for some reason we no longer had the income to meet our debts, we would try to cut back and sell off whatever we could before we put our houses on the market. If it became necessary we would sell our house and rent something small before we sold the rental because my daughter and her family live there. My grandchildren are growing up there and that is more important to me.

I have tried to be in deep trouble financially but haven't been got to a point to decide to sell my valuable house. I just hope and pray that one day, It will never happen to me.

If there was no other way around it, then I suppose that would have to be the choice that we would make. However, barring any circumstances that I cannot fathom right now, that is never going to happen to us. I know that there are a lot of people that have had it happen to them, but when we bought our house two years ago, we bought something that needed a lot of work and was underpriced so that we knew we would still be able to have a comfortable life even when we were taking care of our mortgage payment.

My mom has tried that. We had no other choice but to sell our house just to save us from getting drowned with financial problems. I wasn't into the idea of selling our house. It has a lot of memories and I don't want to let go, we Just don't have a choice and we need to. Now we have a new home, much better that the old one(it wasn't finished yet)

if there is really no way out maybe its a yes but as much as possible I would not sell my house for the reason that its not easy to invest in buying a new house and renting a house for me is such a waste of money because when you can save the money from renting and put it towards investing in your own house the landlord gets the profit. perhaps I could find other ways to pay my debts other than selling mt house. a roof over my head is also a major thing for me to consider.
