Have you ever taken a nap during work hours?

Well, I am guilty that just this week, I am almost always falling asleep and take a nap at work. I have a night shift schedule for this month and I think I still haven't adjusted well. I am having difficulty falling asleep in the morning so working during the night bothers me. I just hope I will be fine because I already lack some sleep for days! lol. How about you? Do you ever sleep in work?

Haha, I know SOOO WELL the thing you're talking about. I was working as a night guard on the construction site for like a half year (also during the school time). I didn't have to work every day, there were like three shifts a week, but I supposed to stay awake the whole night during these. My shift lasted for 15 hours, so it was very, very hard to keep myself up. I often had some little nap during the early morning hours, when sun started to rise and I could be sure that no thieves will be coming after the things left on the site. In addition, most of the valuable items were locked in the same booth I worked in, so there were only construction materials left outside.

I've always worked construction or landscaping, and one job I would sleep in the truck on the way to the site. Not driving of course. I was on the clock, but it really didn't matter. I just had to drive on the way home, which is when my dad slept. A few years ago, I was putting up a fence at a customers house. The four of us there had ate our lunch, and decided to lay down on the trampoline for the rest of the break. Well, we had fallen asleep, but woke up to the operations manager yelling over my Nextel to stop sleeping and get back to work! Apparantly, the homeowner had called complaining about us. We were technically still on break, or not since we didn't have to clock out, and had only been there about 5 minutes or so.

When I worked over night at nordstoms. I would go to the ladies room and go to sleep. I was out for hours at that. I use to take the pills called no doze or drink this jolt soda to stay awake. it would ware off and I would crash. I never got caught though but,I had to quit for my daughters sake.

Hi there reco!Taking a nap during working hours is definitely not to be done.Though when done during breaktime, that can be allowed and I sometimes use my 15 or 20 minute breaktime catching a nap.I usually do this practice when working hour tend to be longer so as to recharge myself. The nap, though short as it may seem has the power to freshen me up and get ready and perky for the next half of the day.Although I have a nap crime done once during a real working hours.I slept so badly the night before and has to wake up for a teaching job the folowing day.It so happened that I should be giving an exam on that day also with my second grader students who are very lovely. And would you believe that in the middle of the test I unintentionally fall into a nap lol.And then after about ten minutes maybe, I hope it was not more than that though I'm not so sure about it.I woke finally woke up with the noise of laughter from my little kids who are playing and was scattered around the classroom.Oh what a shame that day was and also funny too. After composing myself,I called the little kids back again and continued on with the test.A lesson which I learned is that to get enough sleep when it's a working day after.
