He is young and in jail, how to help him to live pisitively?

He is no more than 18 years old, in china he is just a teenager, but because of a mistake he fight with others and now he has in jail for about 1 year, he will be free in several days later.
He is cute and clever and with ambition, how to help him, would you please give some suggestions, I really wish to help him.I know the situation will be harder for him, but I really wish there is a way to save him.

The best thing is to make him understand that you will give him full support to get back on track and that he can count on you. Also tell him that what happened should be taken as a life lesson - it is important to always find a positive lesson in all bad things that happen in life. Everyone makes mistakes - it is important to learn something from thaose mistakes and not do them again.
