I am so aggravated..I needed to find an email address for a relative of mine today, so I went go google and searched, free email address finder. Immediately, I got tons of web sites, all boasting a "Free" service. I choose one, fill in the form with the information I am looking for and in nanoseconds, it finds my relative. I click on the appropriate name and what do I get?? I get a list of membership charges, followed by the page for credit card info required. I click off that one, go to another one, same thing. Over on the left are captions like,"Why pay when you can get it here for free?" So, I click on that one,,,,same stupid thing...payment options..What is up with this? I have come to the conclusion that absolutely nothing on the internet is in fact free..It may be free to go to the site, give them all your info, have them come back with a "tease" that they found it, than BAM, pay up..Its b/s..its false advertising and really really annoying. I spent all this time for nothing. Its not just email addresses but all kinds of other things as well. Credit reports is another good example..just try to get a "free" credit report on line..Its free as long as you sign up for a year..I'm really sick of it and am wondering if I am the only one plagued by this..Have you been led to believe something is free when it is not free at all? Also, if anyone knows of how to obtain an email address without paying, please let me know the secret...Thanks

Oh, about ninety-percent of the things in life that are "free" are not free. I think the average person encounters these everyday. I wish these were illegal, because I hate trying to squint to read the restrictions. It seems in the last few years there have been more and more scams like this. I absolutely cannot stand those surveys on the internet where they make you complete offers and call it "free." The other things that greatly bother me are those cell phone texting services where they act like it is free, but then you find out it costs each text and they charged you to inform you it costs to text (non-standard rates).

Hi Detrox..I HATE those cell phone things..I see them daily, several times. Oh what about the "Free IQ" test that turns into a cell phone service sale? I guess that tells you about the persons IQ allright...wait a minute,,I did that once?!? But just once, I swear..

It is the free game of Internet, the word "free" is present to attract people. Sometimes, informations are free but to have an access to these informations, we must pay. Almost all things on Internet are paying, even these free sweeptakes, owners of these websites can organize a faalse sweeptakes to take our adress mail and then, they sell them to companys for big money! o_O

It is hard to find someone's email without paying but it can be done. My best advice would be to check like a social network such as facebook or myspace and see if you can find them that way. I think that would be the best route to use to be honest. I know I have looked up stuff and I get the same thing as you. Please pay X amount in order to see results. So I hope this helps you in sameway. mylotting to you.

I checked all the social network sites first to no avail..I've kind of given up on the whole thing because I'm just not going to pay 30-40 bucks to maybe get it, maybe not..If it was something I would use all the time that would be different, but it would just be for this one instance so..Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.

well there are that are free in the internet but its too hard to find them now a days and to be honesty we have to face the fact that not all things in life are free. people use this opportunity to earn and if your not careful you may end up being cheated. Just make sure in every thing you do online never pay anything that you not really sure of what it is.

Hi, First let me tell u that 'Nothing in this world is free of cost'. Even the air we breath we pay a price for it and the price is the energy to breath that air. Now the word FREE is just a marketing gimic and it is the easiest way to draw customers into buy the product. Here in your problem FREE ment that they surely found your relative and that too FREE OF COST but the get his/her details will cost you. In that way they are making up the cost for which they would have normally charged you for even finding that relative of yours. So never fall into this trap again. It also applies if you are buy a dress and they say buy 1 and get 1 free and there is no change in the price on a normal basis also. In such a senerio it means that the cost of buy a dress is very less and they are just reducing their profit margine which they would never have done on a normal day. The word FREE is a way to play with ones mind into buying a product/service and is a very good technique even for the most educated person. Larry Nicholas
