i have come under this ituation . when going in a train i may come across people who will be wearing perfume that will some smell for the whole compartment in the train and sometime it will be irritating . Do you mind if someone is wearing overpowering perfume on the train or in an elevator? From what age do you think it’s OK for people to start wearing perfume?

I've also encountered such situations and I have to admit it really disturbs me. Sometimes, if it's hot and I'm on a bus trip, smelling strong perfume can make my head ache. I can't stand the people who pour a gallon of perfume on themselves. I think that it's suitable to start using perfume in the mid-teenage, because it's the period where people start to use cosmetics and they learn how to use it responsibly.

Hi dilip I do not like overpowering perfume smell. It will create giddiness and headache for me and I can not stand by that deep smell though it is of very high quality perfume. Perfumes should be light and pleasant to feel and not irritating. Indeed some people will use it lots making the entire bus or the entire train compartment smelling too much, making others feel irritated

I think depend on how strong it is. I mean i don't mind with smell nice instead of strong stinky sweat. Hahaha. But there's some perfume out there that smell "yuck". LOL.

Perfume is classified as a neurotoxin. That means it is toxic for the brain. In addition, it can cause asthma attacks and allergies for people like me. I was graduating my school and a rather large woman was wearing,"Caesar's Woman." It went to the back of my throat and I had trouble breathing. I was couching and gasping. I had to change seats with her. It was horrendous. She must have bathed in it.

I really don't like being with people who wear overpowering perfume, much more in an enclosed, stuffy place like the bus, train or elevator. It hurts my nose and I tend to feel dizzy after a while.

I wouldn't mind. It's a free country. Freedom. I believe this is true to all nations. I wouldn't mind having to rubbed elbows with someone who wears a strong perfume as long as they won't me having to cover my nose and sneeze my way out of irritation or mock the scent... it's a free country anyway. =)

I would mind if someone wears a strong perfume because I am allergic to strong smells. So it will make me sneeze.
