you can try to unstall it and do it over, or try a different mouse.

Hi.. i believe its something you have to do clean the mouse. Sometimes its with the dust and others will makes it not working properly. I faced a similar problem. Just remove batteries clean it and make sure you dont have any loose connections. Check if that solves the problem. If not then you can think of changing it. I dont believe its any software issues.

From your description of the problem it appears that you are having a hardware problem where your system is unable to recognise your mouse.Your external mouse can be cleaned if you use rubbing alchohol or use canned air.As for your touch pad I believe that your touch pad has been damaged by someone. It is not possible to suggest the cleaning process of your touch pad..get in touch of your manufacturer and take the help of a technician. As regarding the software part does your mouse has a CD driver and did you properly uploaded your driver. If yes then I think the hardware is the source of all problems. Is the platform that you are using is original? Then you can get in touch with the software vendor and try to ask them specifying your problem.

I recently had to buy a new mouse because I was having a similar issue. The new mouse (and keyboard) solved the problem and it only cost about $30.

Hey 1amurag1, I think you might have to buy a new mouse. It seems like someone must of abuse your touch pad. All i can think of is buy a new one if not just check out the settings for the mouse and make sure no important files haven't been deleted. If there was files deleted it I'm not sure how to get it back other then restoring your computer by buying a new Windows 7 or Windows Vista software. Morel like a upgrade. When you have a windows Vista and you change it to windows 7 or something all your files go bye bye and you computer starts off brand new. like as if you just got it. A very old friend of mines deleted a important file that allow her to listen to music but she deleted the file that started with a reltect looks almost like a crab I don't know but yeah she deleted she had no sound. Well in the end she restored her computer started it off brand new and it came back. So your options are buy a cord or cordless mouse for you laptop, or just restore it.. Well hopefully I was able to help and hopefully your problem is fix and take care. :)

It sounds like a cleaning issue not so much a software or hardwire issue. If it was a driver problem reformatting would have resolved the problem. Turn off the machine, take out the battery and make sure to clean off the keyboard and mouse (both of them) and that should improve performance. Sometimes dust particals get under the buttons and block the sensor so the computer doesn't know that you're trying to perform a command with the mouse.

there are many things that is possible on your case. maybe you need to replace your mouse and buy a new one. if you already uninstall and install it again or you already formatted you laptop many times, installing it again is not the answer. maybe your port has a defect or your mouse. try to borrow mouse from your friends to try so that you dont have to spend money until you finally know whats the real problem. you can try also a usb mouse instead of ps2, maybe your port is the problem.
