pro contra the name Sony

in detik.com, do you read the hot news about the conflict of Sony Corp (the bigger corporation from Japan) between Sony A.K (indonesian blogger, an IT specialist). the problems is began from Sony corp protest and claim that blogs sony A.K is similar with all product of Sony corporation. And the war is more hot and hot after Sony corp pressure Sony A.K to not use his private domain (sony-AK.com)of he maybe Sony corp take this case to court. so whats do you think about this case?

Hallo, Mas Adhy.
Indeed for huge companies such as sony, branding is important. if there is effecting to their branding they had the conscience to take law. They have a power of money.
I think, for this problem sony mus be introspect. Not all Sony name refer to its products. It's funny if you want to give name "Sony" to your baby you must permit to Sony Corporation because Sony have the its patent. This case such as "David and Goliath".
I am pro to sony-ak.com still exist!

i know the brand is important but they must think that there are too many name sony in indonesia especially in west java. why they never think like that? sony AK just use his name in his blogs and never to compete sony corp, so whats the problems of sony name?

This is new to me. I just heard it now. Well As long as Sony AK doesn't write any bad thing about sony product, and the blog also clearly state that it is not a sony web site i think it should be ok. Or maybe, Sony should ask sony to sold his domain to them.
