Chelsea took back the top of the table position after beating West Ham United 4-1 at Stamford Bridge. They will be there at least for 24 hours before Manchester United take on Fulham at Old Trafford. Alex header open the scoring in 16 minute but the score was level in when Scott Parker unleash a stunning strike from 25 yards. But double from Didier Drogba and one from Florent Malouda seal the victory for the Blues. What do you think about this game? Can Chelsea maintain their performance and win the league or there would be a slip up to allowed Manchester United or Arsenal to take the league title?

they still have problem with their goalkeeper line up. that is a very big problem to look through as their next opponent is going to be inter. hopefully cech can make it on time to recover. though it is very unlikely. =(

Hi clipsal, I am sorry but we are talking about English premier league here and not champion league. But you are right about their goalkeeper. Since Petr Cech injured, their backline is not as strong as before. Their is not much coordination between the goalkeeper and the defender. Even worst now because Chelsea has to use their reserve goalkeeper now since Cech and their second choice goalkeeper, Hilario, injured.

My only thoughts on the game are that I wish West ham had won to cheer my husband up!! I dont really follow football closely but I'd rather see Chelsea take the league than Man U. However, if anyone other than Man U looks like they'll win it, I expect the season will have to go into extra time to give them (MU)a chance

Hi Wizzywig, I am not fan of Chelsea nor Manchester United. But if is is up to me, I would prefer Chelsea or any other team to win English Premier League this season. Manchester United won it three time in row preciously, so it is too boring to see them lift the title again. I hope Chelsea do not have to go for extra time to win the title this season. It is better if they can win it as soon as possible.

At 1-1 at half time, I thought West Ham would provide them with a decent competition. But in the second half, Chelsea simply ran riot all over West Ham. Their second half performance shows why they are at the top of the table. There are so many match winners in that team. BTW, Man U leapfrogged them to the top position with a victory on sunday. Cheers! Ram

Yes, that is why this season is so exciting. Also, there is the big game left between Chelsea and Man United. Something tells me that is going to be the decider. Cheers! Ram

If we look at the remaining schedules, i think Arsenal has more chances to win the title especially if Manchester United versus Chelsea end with a draw. While Manchester United and Chelsea had to face each other, they also have to face 4 or 5 team in the top seven in their remaining games. Arsenal, on the other hand, just have to go to Tottenham Hotspour and wait Manchester City in Emirates stadium. This will be a big advantage for them.

Hi ram, Chelsea is a complete team. Everybody is important in their own roles. They did not rely on certain player to give them goals. Everyone from defender to the forward can score goal. But Drogba really a big impact on Chelsea. His two goals in this match and 21 in league show how good he is. Manchester United leapfrogged them win after register 3-0 win against Fulham. But you have to remember that Manchester United has play a game more then Chelsea. It is really interesting to see how will win the title this season. And do not forget Arsenal regarding this.

Hi adhyz, Didier Drogba really give Wayne Rooney run for his money for the top scorer award. He score 21 goals so far but still 4 less the Wayne Rooney after the the Manchester United striker score another 2 goals against Fulham yesterday. It is really good game for Chelsea especially after being force to play their reserve goalkeeper. Second half has shown how good Chelsea are if they play their heart out.

Carlo Ancelotti has proven his ability to manage a team since he was in AC Milan. there is no doubt about his management skills. And when he got a good and organize side like Chelsea, I do not think he would has much problem with it. They only things is the players attitute toward him. His coaching style is different with Chelsea previous managers. So, there would be some players that does not like it. But he has to do it and show who's the boss. Otherwise, he will lost control there.
