What brand/type of sunscreen to use on our faces (I have sensitive skin/eyes)?

I'm eager to hear what everyone uses for sunscreen on their face. My skin is very sensitive (and esp. my eyes when different lotion is used on my face), that it makes it very restrictive and difficult to wear facial sunscreen enough. I should actually be wearing it every day even in the winter, because of the sensitivity to sun. But I'd appreciate hearing what brands people use, especially those with sensitive skin. Thanks in advance!

I use Aveeno. It's hypoallergenic and moisturizing at the same time. My skin is really sensitive to creams and stuff that I put on it and I haven't had any problems with any Aveeno products.

Harmonee, I reallly appreciate your response. I can't remember if I have tried Aveeno over all the years, but that will be helpful, because I will try that one out. I've always gotten ones that state allergy-free or SENSITIVE SKIN, and I get cold symptoms or break out a bit. But headaches and stinging eyes are the main effeect. I just wish they all weren't so expensive. So I can't afford to buy and waste many brands and compare them. I wish we could get a full assortment of trial free ones to find our matching sunscreen. ;o) I will definitely looko into the Aveeno for next round. Thank you! :o)

Oopsie-doo, Harmonee, I just found my squeeze paste type container of Aveeno that I had in my backpack, that I used through the summer and early fall, but couldn't tolerate it for very long. It doesn't say allergy free, but still hurt my eyes, and a bit of a headache. Glad it works for you though. I hadn't seen one that said allergy-free, when I looked at CVS, but I'll have to search again, maybe online. Thanks again.

I have very sensitive skin and eyes too. I don’t like using ordinary sunscreen because it makes my eyes water very badly; it’s okay on my body but not on my face! I now use Olay moisturiser for sensitive skin; I choose the one that has sunscreen in it and so far it has done the job although I still have to be very careful not to get it too close to my eyes. I don’t know if you can get Olay where you live though...

You should talk to your doctor about that. There maybe a ingedent thats in the sunscreen. Once you know what that is you could advoid anything sunscreen or lotion that has that certain ingerdent in it.

Thanks for replyaing, iamamommy, Yes, I have asked many times. Off top of head, I forget one of the ingredients mentionted, but I had even tried ones without that ingredient and still am sensitive. I usually get all cold symptoms like headache and stinging eyes, andn sometimes might break out a bit. Plus I really don't like the very oily feeling. But I have to try out more; just wish there were more exact ones. I use ones that usually say SENSITIVE SKIN or allergy-free.
