Patterns on line

I've been seeing some patterns on line for things that I think are really cute but haven't gotten around to downloading them. Is anyone out there using patterns from online? Any pros & cons? Have you finished any of the projects?

I've sewn and knitted things from patterns I found online. I think it works out fine, especially if it's a tutorial, not just the pieces.

I've done lots of the crochet stuff I found on line, just wasn't sure how hard it would be to cut patterns using stiff paper that had gone through the printer.

it's a lot easier than the tissue patterns are normally printed on. the only thing is you have to watch the fitting if it's a garment

I haven't had any problems with it. Then again, I will also just draw my own - so I might be a bit more relaxed about this than a lot of people.

Hi, I have downloaded patterns and they work great. I just cut the printed paper pattern and followed it. For some clothes though you have to attach the pattern pieces together, haven't tried any clothes yet. Burda have some free patterns you can download. I think you just have to be careful to attach them properly with a continuous line.

I have downloaded a few different patterns online and used them. The ones I used worked pretty well, and I really didn't find any 'cons' to them. One pattern I got was for making stuff for babies, little hats, blankets, and such. I don't recall where I got them from, but it seemed simple enough. I've gotten sewing patterns, crochet patterns, crafting patterns, and even some nice woodworking patterns online. Most of the time if I've taken time to download them, I've done and finished them. There's lots and lots of neat patterns online that I've gotten for free.
