Hello friends, As some of you know, and I've shared this in my previous discussion, I'm feeling a little down and sad because of my grandmother's condition. She has cancer, diagnosed a week ago. I'm still a little shaken up and feeling oh so sad... So here's my question: If you're my friend in real life, what will you do to cheer me up?

Just think of it that there are reasons behind to what ever is happening to each individual and God always knows the best for you and your grandmother. This may be a trial to your strength on how will you face life and how strong your faith is to God. As a friend, here (online) or in real life, or even pretending as a friend... I would be here to listen and give you advise. Maybe if i would be so desperate on doing so, I would always make a funny face just to cheer you up. Think of the positive things that happens to your life rather thinking to the negative things... There are a lot people having a bigger problem ( I am not saying yours are not but what i mean is you still have a chance to show your love with your grandmother, then show it more now and do not waste time) Even through advises and responses to this site, hope that we did cheer you up. God bless to your family and be strong my friend

Hi scja, Very well said. Thank you for sharing that. I agree in what you said that everything happens for a reason and only God knows what's best for us. I'd been building a lot of positive thoughts in my mind to take away my worries and fears. I knew I have to be strong for my grandma and my family as well. Thank you friend, coz your advises are really good. I'll always keep that in mind.

yeah.. read your earlier discussion.. you haven't mentioned anything abouther condition.. i guess its bad.. and she would be too old to undergo the painful medications... i can understand it will be putting a lot of emotional pressure on everyone in your family.. and being a grand daughter you would be closer to her than most people... all i can say is you should give your grandmother all happiness you can give and make each and every moment memorable .. because no matter what we do, one day we all have to leave this world, but we live through others' memory ...

Hi ralphido, Yes, it's putting a lot of emotional pressure to me and my family. I'm close to her, so I get hurt seeing her in that condition. But I won't lose hope and faith to our good Lord. You're right, I'll give her all the happiness I can give and make each day memorable. Carpe Diem! Thanks for sharing.

If you lived near where I am, you would also appreciate that it is almost spring! So, I'll get you in the car and drive for a couple hours to a favorite lake. There'll be a few people there, and sunbathers, but it'll still be not as crowded. I'll lay up the beach blanket underneath one of those trees, and we could take a nap! You'd be surprised how relaxing it is not hearing anything but sounds of children laughing and some speed boats far off the shore.

Hi bounce, I'd love to go to a lake and just sunbathe or take a nap. I find it very relaxing and peaceful, and could calm my worries down. I'm sure I'll have a great time. Thanks for sharing.

I could take you for a walk with you while you eat ice cream and play a wish a balloon. Maybe we can enjoy Percy Jackson movie together with popcorn on hand. After I'll drive you anywhere you like. We could visit some of our friends and gossip on the topics. Go to party and eventually visit the church. ^^

Hi sunkernjs, You have great ideas to cheer me up. I'd like to eat ice cream and go to the movies. And it's sweet to visit other friends, the more the merrier I'll become. And of course, I appreciate you include going to church. That's the best place to go when you need some cheering up. Thanks for sharing!
