I'm on the look out for another animation/art software I've already used windows paints, gimp, and smooth draw. is there another open source art program available thats better and has motion 3D effects available? I'm aware of adobe photoshop but its really expinsive for me I cant afford it. can anyone recommend somthing else just as good as photo shop, but listed under open source, I want to create more advanced work. oh just the thought of finding somthing better then what I've been using gets me so exited love creating art on my computer please any suggestion's? thanks.

I will like a response as well. Can you please tell me the simplest software to use to learn 3D animation? I see you mention windows paint, but i didnt know you get 3D from it. I love designing too and i want to learn animation the simple way.
