My husband was having chest pains for approximately 3 days and it was bad enough he finally took my advice and visited the clinic.... The clinic would not see him and demanded him to go directly to the ER because they said it was seriousness.... He was in the hospital for a day in a half and now is on cholesterol, B/P, diabetes and Aspirin medication a day..... With all the seriousness laid out for you in short version how would you feel if that was your spouse or significant other ? I was really scared but did not show emotion to him because I felt if I did he would not stay because I know him.......I am so relived that the slight heart attack did no damage.... I did tell him on the way home that I was relieved and wanted to keep him around for many more years and was scared......

hagirl, My goodness, I would really like to "slap" you stupid here. Just joking! No offense taken, I just want to catch your attention and to read what I have to say. It is quite evident that your other half has got some unfavorable friends with him namely Hypertension, Diabetes and I am not surprise Obesity as well. So, when he complained about chest pains, please do not wait for 3 days before deciding to consult a doctor. The next time send him to the ER or for an ambulance because unbeknown to all of us, he may just have Mr. Massive to his heart and I can assure you that you will live no further than the next episode of ER or Grey Anatomy. Just don't take these symptoms for granted and if you really want him to live then start reading up and understand his present condition. If it is at all possible go take a course of CPR right away. And, amidst of all his medications, I think it would be prudent to start changing to a strict adherence of having a healthy balanced diet. I would feel anxious for him, and would insist that he see the doctor or go to the ER. If we were to call our doctor with those symptoms, he would have said to go to the ER. I would feel scared, for him and for me, but I would be honest and talk about my feelings with my husband. I have been through this widowhood thing one time, and I am trying to do my best not to be there again for a long long time.
