Have you ever tried to make a bountiful supper for your whole family? You parents, brothers and sisters? I did try once, and it wasn't that easy. I learn a few dishes from my mom, and cook book, not on the pro level yet, but I did try my best. I spent the whole evening in the kitchen along with my mom's assistant. I did finally accomplished it. But it wasn't that satisfactory, because from my brother and sister harsh comments, I realized that some of the dishes really salty. Anyway, constructive criticism help me to learn right?

Cooking is a tough task especially to those who are not really experts in the kitchen. After the hardship of preparing all the ingredients and cooking them to the best of your ability it is very heartbreaking to even hear negative comments on the food you cooked. Well I have always been the cook in our household and so far I've mastered this task. My family always praise my dishes. That was not the case before when I was just starting to learn. However I painstakingly do everything to master this art and now I am very successful.

I can imagine how much time you spend on the dishes you prepare for your family. It is time consuming, and you must racking your brain to make it work and beautiful. It is not an easy job I agree with you.

it does help and the only way you will learn is by practicing. Make sure you taste your food as you go. That will help the too much salt. I cook for our church every week, about thirty people every wednesday night by teaching the teens. It becomes a challenge finding tasty nutritious meals. But I like to keep it fun!

That will be the toughest assignment ever done. 30 people, I might just embarrass myself there. Someday, I will learn to make some good stuff for my family to taste. I know I am not a good cook yet, but I will give it a shot though.

yes it is huge task especially when its a joint family. I have seen my mother cook for 25 members 3 times a day all alone and with no modern grinders and mixies to assist her. She used to use the old gridning stones. No washing machines. it was all pure manual labour. No wonder we see so many diseases amongst young men and women these days..

Well, i agree with you. This happens at my home, too. My mom tries her level best to do a best dish for my entire family. But yet sometimes, it will not be tasty. My brother will pass his comments. But i feel bad for my mom. But i noticed she corrects herself, i mean she takes the comments as to correct and improve her cooking.
