I buy the phone just depending on whether I like it or not, just like you. But I would not buy the cheapest phone in the window, and of course I would pick the most expensive one too.

when it comes to mobile phones, i'm one crazy nut! i've had several expensive phones over the past few years. i was so crazy about them and their features that i used to buy mobile phone magazines and check out new products and compare them. i've had motorola L6, nokia 3250, sony ericsson w610i, nokia n81, and nokia n82, among others. i've used sony ericsson c510i also. i'm currently using n82 which i bought in mid 2008. i need to change it's battery now as it's deteriorating. actually, i like the expensive ones not because they are expensive, or good-looking, or for showing off. i like them because of their features, and i make the most use out of them. the way i use them, my friends and people around me use to be like - 'no wonder you change your phone so frequently'! but not every phone change had been made out of my own desire - but some are out of necessity, like you changed yours because you dropped your previous one in the water. e71 is a very good phone, i guess, like most nokia E-series phones. i've been longing to use an E-series phone from before. i've considered buying the sleek e51, but bought n81 instead. both came out about the same time and were very new then. E-series phones are business phones and meant for office applications. my friend bought e63, most probably(i can't remember exactly), and it was quite impressive. anyways, you've got yourself a very good phone so make the most out of it!

for using mylot on your phone you'll have to try and see in your phone's browser. besides, you can install other browser softwares like opera mini, tshark, etc., and check through them. and also you'll have to see the mylot terms - if they forbid using mylot on phones then you can't. personally i haven't tried using mylot on my phone(i don't have internet connection in my phone now as i'm surfing in my laptop using a usb modem).

Hi acie! If buying a Nokia e71 makes you happy and it suits your needs then you've made the right decision. I think it's as simple as that. Before when I was still working offline I used to go for the high end cell phones. I find them very useful because of my work though they are expensive. I can do a lot of things on my cell phone especially when putting reminders on them, especially my Nokia 9500 where it has Word and Excel on it. But now that I am a work at home, I have stopped buying new cell phones. I can't use it's features anymore other than for texting and calling because I'm always working on my laptop and email and chat is my main communication now. I'd rather buy a new laptop than a cell phone now. Ciao!

I think everyone wants to have a nice cell phone; one that has high end features and it's okay to want a nice cell phone. I have bought a lot of cell phones before from Nokia and Ericsson and back then it seems that I can't get enough of all the features, not minding the price. But after sometime, I've realized that I have wasted a lot of money when just a simple cell phone for me can do what is important, and that is to be able to call or text when needed. Now, I've become more thriftier when buying cell phones, especially since my interest has been shifted to laptops. As I have said, I'd rather buy a new laptop than a cell phone. Some cell phones cost tmore than what laptops costs these days.

hello acie girl! so you already have a new phone now? huh! that's good for you! so where's the old one? and much did you get your new phone? well as long as you are happy with it and have money to spend why not! after all, i guess you will be using it for a long time...hehe just be careful not to drop it in toilet bowl again! well as for me, cheaper or expensive don't really matter as long as i like the phone and i have money to spend...but actually, what's important for me is that i have a phone to use to call or text my family & friends...haha i am not really into phones these days...but i guess the best would be something nice and in good quality at reasonable price...

hello acie, That's good for you. In my opinion,as along as i can receive and made calls, receive and send text messages, then,it would be fine. I don't think expensive or cheap mobile phone is necessary for ordinary people,i mean with people who only stays home,or for students. But for someone who had the capacity to buy expensive phones and had extra money for costly gadgets...then,go for it. We need to treat ourselves sometimes with expensive things that we deserve. I am using also Nokia phones,i found it very friendly to use,and the camera is also good for me...for taking pictures.

Hi recycledgoth, my hubby just like you, he always says he just needs a phone that can call and receive a call. Too many functions on his phone would waste his time on working, he just want to focus on his work and want to restrict himself not to play those games on a phone.

Hi, friend. It all depends what kind of funcitons I need. I used to use a very simple Nokia phone only equipped with calling/receiving calls and sending messages. No camera, no internet service, no video or any other advanced functions. That's really very inconvenient sometimes, though it can be used for almost two weeks without charging. There are many times when I need to access internet on the cell phone when I have no computer hooked to internet at hand. Besides this, I also need to compile a word file or something on the cell phone. So I bought another high-tech Nokia phone just two months ago. So far it has been working very well. Some people think that people's buying expensive phones is just for showing off, but that's a completely prejudice. When we need to use those high-tech funtions, we have to buy an expensive one.

The brand doesn't matter to me so much. I pay attention to the cellphone's operating system. I like to use Windows mobile. If it is very expensive, I can wait until the price is reasonable and then I buy it. I don't want to buy cheap cellphones because they just have basic features and it is not suitable for me. I like to have a cellphone with many features. I love China

lol =D depending on what purpose are u buying the phone for!! But in your case, u seem to be buying for the camera rather than the functionality of phone.. hehe ^_^ IF so, i will rather u be buying either Samsung or other brands, compared to nokia e71.. lol =D Brand is not as important, and what matters most is, whether they appeal to u, and being user friendly.. haha =D

My phone I have with T Mobile broke but I have had it for a long time and I really liked it so I had to put my sim card in this old old phone I found laying around and people make fun of it I do not like it at all and it is on it's last leg as well, L.O.L. but I have no way to get to the place I always go at this time but I feel like as long I have a phone to talk on no matter cheap or expensive I'm good Even though it is a bit embarrassing.

It depends on wether or not I like the phone. If the phone has everything that I want and is expensive then I will probably buy it. At the moment I have a Blackberry and I love it but I'm looking to get a new one as mine is knackered or an I-phone. I don't know too much about those nokias but get the one that you think you will get most use out of. If the cameras better on one and your going to be taking a lot of pictures then get that one. If you are just interested in it because it does have a better camera bu you don't plan to use it as much then get the cheaper one.

Before I buy a phone, I always look at the specifications first and then compare them with other similar phones, so I can get the phone with the specifications I want at a lower price. However, I do set a budget. Acie, in your case, you know that you want a phone with good camera, that's why you chose Nokia E71. It's a good phone, and comes with the QWERTY keyboard. Anyway, try to be careful the next time.

hell0! A very nice avatar by the way :) really like it well, I prefer the good ones :) I never look at the price, because sometime the price is not a guarantee for quality. some phones are very expensive, but just because of the design, and I prefer the functional phones which are also expensive, but are also qualitative and I know that they are good!

If that phone really hep your lifestyle then that is a good choice. To be honest I really love that phone as well but with my lifestyle, I am always on the go and it means I am not taking care of phone that much. For me, I'd rather used a cheaper phone so just in case I broke it. It will not be painful to lose the phone then I will just buy a new one. Do not worry I think you made the right choice since e71 is a very good phone to have. God bless
