Well, yes I can. But this title fits the matter of this discussion. I started a discussion recently about my phpone service being down for up to 5 days. Luckily it lasted just 7 hours. Anyhow the odd part is that right after posting that discussion my internet went down as well. The lines are combined as I have QWest DSL. Anyhow I was without internet for about 14 hours. Now thew titles meaning.....I went nuts not being able to be online to play games, chat, read emails etc. So I sat watching TV and or playing games I have sotred on my hard drive. I went nuts to the point I drove myself crazy. Are you addicted to the internet as much as I am? Things are all working well and my addiction is back to normal useage? If there is a normal that is.

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
I went with my internet for one day, I can't even remember why but I knew I lost connection and I was pulling my hair out, I am addicted to my net, I admit, it felt like as though I have been cut off from all my friends and I was so bored, lol! it is so awful when we get like that, what did we do when internet wasn't invented? lol!.

I am definitely addicted especially to mylot. I can't stand for my service to be down. It was one whole day last week & i was not a happy camper, lol. I bet u are like me & it's alot of company to u. Happy friday.

I used to be TOTALLY addicted to myLot.
But a year and a half ago I had some bad times with admin and trolls.
So I stayed away for some sometime.
Now I am still trying to get back to it like I was before.
Hopefully I can get back in the groove here.

You know, for as much as I use the internet, a person would think I would go nuts without it. Maybe it I had to go two weeks or something without it, I'd really start to miss it. But I am pretty sure I could go a week without the internet and not care too much. But, it isn't like I want to test my theory. I'm very happy with having internet access.

Oh believe me, I was for awhile.
I turned some soil that was in an all sunny location.
In other spots the ground was still frozen a few inches down.
I'm ready to plant some things but........

There are plenty of things that I love to do besides the internet, although the internet is very convenient. I have a lot of books and magazines, movies and shows stored on my television and if the electricity is out I still have plenty of work and enjoyable things to do.
I think it would be harder for someone that grew up with computers. They don't know anything different!

Hahaha! Glad it was only for a few hours for you! I can't stand it if the internet is down. Even if I might not be on it during that time, it just feels like I'm driving on flat tires not to have the option. I don't really mind if the television and phones don't work though.

I have only been back a couple of Days after being of for a week and I was going mad
I am hoping to stay now till my connection becomes active on Wednesday
I am using one of these Dongels which are very slow but better then nothing at all

Lucky for me I have a cell that gets the net if I get too desperate! But I must confess, it doesn't do well or nearly as fast as a computer so if my net is down for any length of time I have to do this amazing thing... gasp.. ready for this???? it's called... READING! LOL
I will confess my addictions... and the net is definitely one.

Well I'm not only addicted to the internet but the computer to begin with. Some years ago we had rewiring done throughout the apt. building and in each apt. The electricity was shut down 7 a.m. and wasn't put back on until 6:00 p.m. Imagine how crazy I went? No computer, no TV, no radio, nothing.....sheesh

when we go on holiday , i can never get an on line connection, so i either play the games on my laptop (eg. mahjonng, spider solitaire, patience etc.,) or soduko or crosswords, but i am always conscious of my e mails building up and waiting for me to answer them. when i 'm on line at home , i can multitask, - watch tv and type at the same time. clever eh, but i am a woman !!. but i do miss my internet when i'm away,

oh Grandpa Bob am i ever addicted to the internet? I had it off for fou r days and was going bananas here as something would not let me finsh signing on and my son worked on it and worked on it. then he took the hard drive out and did some trouble shooting with it on his own computer and got it all straightened out for me. Boy was I glad. I really really 'missed my computer. I know I was pretty grim to be around, I could not mylot so I was fuming as I use those earning to pay most of my internet b bill with, but when I got it back I did make more than before so all was well again. but I am sure my roommate was glad I was back on my computer as I had been hard to live with.he he he.

Well I have to get on in the morning, I have to get on in the evening, and I have to get on in between. Not having internet would drive me nuts too. More nuts, I should say. :-)

Hi Grandpa Bob! Yup! I know exactly what you mean! My phone,
cable and internet services are all connected so that means if
one goes down they all go! So I am without phone service, Internet
and tv! Now that is a disaster! I go crazy too! I think having
the Internet going down upsets me the most! I don't watch that
much tv until late at night so I can live without that! But,
the computer is the most important! I always have my cell phone!lol
We have just gotten so used to these things that it is ridiculous!
Shame on us! And we grew up without computers so that makes it
even worse! But, now that we are addicted, well you know the
rest!
