How well do you tip your server?Do you tip based on service or do you just leave a standard percent?Do you think it is wrong for a server to expect a tip after every service?

On the rare occasion that my partner and I do go out for a meal we always make a point of leaving a tip. I worked as a waitress at weekends so I know just how hard they work and how little they get paid. A tip is our way to saying thank you

Where I stay we don't tip based on percentages. Me and my friends usually measure tips by how good the service was and we usually leave a few pounds each. I always leave a tip no matter what because I feel bad if I don't and usually the service in the restaurants I go to is great so I usually always leave a tip. I don't think it's wrong for a server to expect a tip everytime considering most if not all servers are on minimum wage and most seem to work hard for their money.

I was a waitress, so I do think that you should always tip. Waitresses work very hard and usually only make a couple of dollars on the hour. Even if you don't think they gave you the best service, I think you should always leave at least a couple dollars. If the restaurant has average prices and the meal is not a big on, I usually leave a $4 tip. If it is a big meal, I try to leave 10%.

I think it would be very bad to not leave a tip. If there are just two of us I always leave at least five dollars if there are anything above then I leave ten. Most of those people are single and working their way through school or a single parent. It can be a very hard job and if they wait on you and bring your food and drinks then they deserve it. As for the question if it is wrong to expect a tip then my answer is no they are on their feet for long periods of time and waiting on you then they deserve to get tipped good. Hey everyone hope you had a good day and hope you have a great evening.

I always tip 15% or more unless they gave bad service. I still tip even if it was bade service since it's normally split between others rather than just the waitress. I have tipped $10 on a $15 bill before lol.
