Rendevous Sports will pay $333.33 million to bag the ownership of the team Kochi,which will play IPL matches from next year.Other new entrant is Pune.Being a keralite,I thank Shashi Tharoor,Mohanlal and Priyadarshan for their sincere efforts which made our dreams true.

Oh - That will add to the competition within IPL and yes, I read somewhere that Shashi Tharoor and Mohan Lal and actor Priyadarshan are planning to get an IPL team - well $333.33 million is going to be wasted - why not try improve the country with it rather than spend it uselessly! But, Kerala is gonna lose if Sreesanth is gonna be on your side! BEWARE!

Sashi Tharoor inspired Rendezvous in winning the ownership of the Kochi Team.Mohanlal and Priyadarshan bidded unsuccessfully.Now none of these celebrities own the team,but are the inspirations for the birth of Team Kerala.
Shreesanth was once dropped from kerala's Renji team last year.Shreesanth may become a part of Kochi team but he will not enjoy any special status there,I hope.

I didn't know that there was a team from kerala into the bidding. Thanks for the info.
Just guessing, who will be the local talent in that team ?? I remember srishant being booed in Kochi during a local match.are there any exiciting batsmen from kerala currently playing IPL ?

Once Kochi team started playing IPL you can easily spot talents locally.Wait for the Stars ...

That's good to see that all four southern states now have their franchisees. Chennai Superkings, Deccan Chargers, Royal Challengers Bangalore and now this team from Kerala. It is good for cricket in this region. Though we need to wait and see who come down to play. Does Sreesanth come over as the Icon player of Kerala?

Congratulations ashwinsasi and all the people of Kerala for having a team in the ipl from next year..I am sure that this will go a long way in increasing the already existing cricket madness in the "Spice Garden Of India".Football is a favourite sport of the people of kerala and now it will be time for cricket..However,what I think is that now it's time that we have a window for the ipl every year otherwise we won't be able to see all the superstars participating in all the matches..Now players who are not satisfied with their current team will be able to make much better choices and there will be more talented players getting a scope to show their skills in the ipl in front of the global audience.
