Depends on what model, because some of them are not as good as others.

Last year I got hold of my first ever touch screen phone (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic) and although I never have really liked that type of phone before, I really like it, although for typing I always use my stylus!

Peronally i feel comfortable too typing on touchscreen as well!!So naturally in some cases they can't now substitute the physical keyboard but i think if your phone have a ood screen and touch sensitive too it is comfortable enough!!

Hi friend, I am using touch screen phone since last three years. I am so much used to it, I find it difficult to use phone without touch screen facility. Its very easy and comfortable for me to use stylus and touch appropriate part of screen to issue command. Happy mylotting

Typing via a touch screen phone is so cool. Actually, there are no difference with the regular keypad. Try it guys...

I don't mind using touch screen phones. I will say this though, that they do take some getting used to. My phone has a stylus with it, so I can type on the onscreen keyboard using the stylus. It does take a little getting used to using it as well. My phone is the Samsung Omnia 2, which is a windows mobile phone. It is a very nice phone, and I am glad that I bought it. I am getting used to using the stylus though, as it has what they call the swype feature, which means I fo from letter to letter to form the word, and then I lift the stylus off the screen. It will automatically put the space in there for me, so I don't have to do that. I have used it to post a discussion, post some comments and post responses to other discussions. It works really well, and it is the first phone I have had where I can actually post from it. I am enjoying it very much. Take care, and have a very good day.

Well, I will start out by saying that I've never been comfortable with the touch pad on a laptop computer. Whenever I am using my laptop, I've got to have a USB mouse hooked up to it. That said, I've never messed with a touch screen phone, but I imagine that I wouldn't be able to be comfortable with those at all. I have a phone that has a full keyboard and I still have problems with that for the simple fact that the keys are so small.
