One of the exemptions allowed to deny Freedom of Information requests has been used by the Obama administration 70,779 times in its first year; the same exemption was used 47,395 times in Bush's final budget year.

Rahm's memo to the various agencies of the Executive Branch will certainly fix this apparent disregard for the President's wishes for transparency. (And if you believe that one, I have beach front property in front of my home I wish to sell...) (Good morning, Laglen, today should prove to be interesting...)

Obama has made his administration more transparent, as transparent as muddy water. Why have the freedom of info act if they are just going to use an exception every time? I understand that some info is national security sensitive, but I doubt that everyone of these 70k request were for info on nukes.

You think there is a little cloud ove the Obama Administration, I think that there is a whole storm over his administration,,,,When will people learn he doesn't care about the country and our way of life he wants to get rid of the contitution and the bill of rights......If he was up and up he wouldn't have all the Czars and all the people in his cabinet that want to take down the country......
I think Obama and his people should be run out of office on a rail cause he is so stupid that he thinks people don't know what he's doing.....
Things he does doesn't surprise me I'm just waiting for people to be fed up enough they ask him to step down......He said he was for change but I don't think people were expecting this.......
