Everyone has had a bad allergy, fall, accident, disease. What was yours, i know mine was chicken pox , when i had them when i was in the sixth grade. Really bad you know, isolated and all, well enough about me lets talk about you.. That was painful, but i know people older than me might obviously have gone through much bigger problems in life than some chickenpox , please do share your experience with me and the future readers.

When I was 31 years old I came down with Mononucleosis. I was out of work for about a month. It was the worse medical problem I had ever had. I actually thought I was going to die that is how bad it was. Laying in bed with a high fever my life actually flashed before me which made me think oh my God this is it, I'm going to die from Mono. Thankfully I have not been that sick again and in fact I don't remember the last time I had a fever.

Mononucleosis is an infectious disease with symptoms of fever, swelling of lymph nodes and an abormally large number of certain leukocytes in the blood.

i have never been hospitalized but i can remember my mom had told me, i fell down the stairs when i was a year old, where i had a cut on the eyebrow, where i got this scar until now. i had fell from a tree too, when i was about ten and i had a cut in the head. aside from those two, i had never been sick worse than having a chicken pox. but my youngest son have the worst health problem in the family, as of this moment. he has sleep apnea. the doctors told us that his tonsils are larger than normal and if it doesn't shrink in time, it should be removed.

Hiya moneydoner, I got German Measles and was in bed for a whole week which is a world record for me. With spots from top to toe and a nasty headache and plenty of fever. But I did develop resistance to this illness. This was when I was eleven years old and so I skipped the Vaccine as I was already immunised the natural way lucky me. That was not one of the worst things I have had or been through but it did put me in Bed for a whole week no getting up hardly wow.

I've been lucky so far in my life that I have never had anything 'serious'. My most memorable illness was back in my late teens when I developed a kidney infection, The pain was indescribable, I just remember that I have never felt pai like it before in my life. I was in bed for a whole seven days before I felt even the slightest bit better. I have to say that my mum was great at looking after me too.

I had this medical problem last year and am glad all is well now. I had a profuse bleeding for more that a month and I thought I am going to die because their were times that I can't lift myself up. My doctor said I developed a hormonal imbalance and the lining of my uterus had thickened so that causes the bleeding. I'm glad I was able to manage this well and back to good health again.

At the age of 8 or 10 i think I started having health problems...First problem was me having asthma then it lead to asthmatic bronchitis--- took medications then mum had to rush me to the hospital because of difficulty of breathing. When I was ok already, it did not stop me from being ill. I had acute ulcer and it was difficult because I was not eating anymore; I only ate when my mum begged me and it was really difficult to because every time I swallow my food I felt like im going to vomit; I also had to take medicines prescribed by my doctor. Weeks passed, I finally recovered from ulcer but then again here comes acute tonsillitis, once again my doctor prescribed me doctor; very painful when I swallow when I eat solid foods. Another medications.... I got treated and I was ok again.... After several weeks, unfortunately I was struck by an illness again--- Hepatitis A! I got it from one of my friends when she drank from my drink. It was very uncomfortable. my tummy was painful. I had to take different medicines and it made me weak because the pills were too big for me to swallow.. After a month or I was ok again... weeks passed... I suddenly just feel dizzy and cannot stand up..If I did I always have the feeling of throwing up. Went to y doctor again and hayyzzz... I have Iron deficiency anemia... pills again! It was tough! I cannot blame myself now if I'm so lazy taking pills when i get ill because I'm just fed up by the past. I am so glad that I am now well, I only have colds and flu but that's all..
