Which is better to pet? a dog or a cat? I had only dogs for pet, I never had a cat for pet, because dogs are truly a man's bestfriend. Have you ever watched HACHIKO? Share your experience.

I have dog as a pet, they were lovely and absolutely loyal to their owner, few of friend offer me a kitten to raise but I don't really like kitten especially for poop reason especially when a kitten poop in your roof and smell so bad make you loose your appetite. at least a dog will never poop in your roof.

Thanks for sharing. Yeah cat poop has very very bad smell. Don't know what kind of acids do they have on their stomachs.

Thanks for sharing. That's true, as I said earlier , dogs has this feeling of knowing if a stranger has good intentions or bad, especially in where they lived or on their owner's house.

I would want a cat because they're just in general cuter than dogs even though I'm allergic to cats. Not to dogs though, I don't think. Ugh, sucks for me. It's just a personal preference here. I just love cats to the point of even acting like a cat sometimes. Yeah, sounds weird, I know. Oh well. =/

They both were created by nature for different purposes. One cant replace or act as a substitute for the other. A cat is a miniature version of a tiger with all its qualities and much more ferocious than dogs. They are expert attackers and less loyal to its masters. Dogs are more loyal and more suited to guard us and ofcourse less ferocious. Personally i love ferocious dogs because apart from being a personal body guard they are loyal and more friendly.

Thanks for sharing. I definitely have to agree with you! But I am afraid of ferocious dogs like pitbulls and rottweilers, they say, they have the ability to lack their jaw when they bite...why it is? because I love to play with dogs mouth, when you play with them sometimes they try to bite you but in the sense of playing, they never put force on their bites, that's why I love them.

I too grew up having dogs around as pets and cats are just there around but never consider them as pets. I think dogs are more loyal than cats are. Cats tend to stray away from your side when given an opportunity.

I had a grudge over cats before, because when I was a child, a stray cat ambush my pet chick in front of me, I was very mad and even tried to hunt that cat.

hello there. I have two cats and 3 dogs right now and I can say that both pets are unique. They have their very own personalities so I can't really compare. A cat could be a man's best friend as well, I don't see why they can't be. Though cat's are not good for guarding and protecting just like dogs but they are such wonderful and fun pets to have. Anyway, yes I have watched hachiko and that movie made me cry a lot, lol like a lot! I love that movie and knowing that it was a true story made it more wonderful, so heart warming and heart touching.

I like dogs.I never liked cats.My dogs never allow any cat to enter my premises.I feel sorry for the cats as they never managed to outsmart the dogs.I would certainly love to see a cat walking over my lawn head high, never bothering about the dogs....

Thanks for sharing, Yes! and dogs also never allows other people that they don't know to enter their owner premises, especially they have this gut feeling if the person has good intention or bad.

I have both, I can say both are good. I agree dogs are man’s bestfriend and they are very loyal. When you get home they are there waiting for you and very happy, while some cats are just looking at you. At home because I have both cats and dogs, they have the same attitude now. My cats and dogs have some kind of competition of who will win on them when I get home. They are competing of my attention. I am very happy and you know the stress from work suddenly disappear when they are doing it. I love both. Cat have different personality and they can scratch your skin, but dogs too. I guess if you prepare dogs, that stick with dogs . I love both so I want both.

hell0! they both are good, it only depends on that how much space you have at home and how much money are you ready do spend for it, because sometimes the cats are even more expensive than the dogs, but if you don't have space enough I think that the cat is the better choice, because we take that animal not just to make us happy, but we must also make it happy and not put it in a cage for the rest of its life

I also have a dog for pet. I used to hear from somebody that dogs suit men and cats suit women. I don't know whether such statement makes sense. In my view, dogs are more depedent on humans while cats prefer to stay alone.

We have 4 dogs and we never had a cat,I think dogs are much more adorable than cats it's because I'm a dog lover, they're loyal and playful too,I already watched HACHIKO he was so loyal it made me cry because he kept on waiting for his owner at the train station,it was so touching,I suggest you watch The Tale of Mari & the three puppies that's a touching story too but it has only the nihongo version you can watch it on youtube, what version of Hachiko did you watch?if it was the english version try watching the original version of it :)
