Everyone knows about the movie Titanic, which has Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in the lead, was a smash hit and broke all the box office records in 1997. James Cameron has said that he plans a 3D version of Titanic by 2012.The director has said that the release of the 3D version will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the real Titanic that sunk in the year 1912. He also added that he wish to have more than 1000 3D theaters.3D will be the future he said. When I saw Avatar in 3D, it is really good but my eyes pained a lot.I also watched in 2D.If you ask 3D or 2D.I will go for 2D.As he said 3D is the future then surely it will be difficult for some people.I wish to watch in 3D but not always. If he release Titanic in 3D,then it will be great. What do you think about this ? Whether you go for 2D or 3D ? Whether 3D will be the future..?

There seems to be a rush of movies being released in 3D. Personally I prefer the 2D, the 3D seems to trigger headaches for me. From what I've been reading, 3D televisions aren't too far away, which may (in part) be the reason for so much being released in that format. If you happened to save your 3D glasses, they are excellent to use when watching fireworks.

I'm sticking with 2D as well. For some of the things seen on the news, or even in some shows now, 2D is real enough for me.

I am not fancy about 3D, as I think I'll get dizzy if I watch 3D movie, though I've been hearing many positive comments about 3D movies, especially the 3D Avatar. I went for 2D Avatar only, and I think it's nice and it's fine for me. I do not really have the interest to go for 3D movies. As the price is much higher and some people feel uneasy watching 3D movies, I think there are still markets for 2D movies even in the future.

First of all, to me Titanic was an OK movie. It was basically a romance. I don't see the point of doing a romance in 3D, I really don't.

Good point. They will make something different.I mean they won't show romancing scenes in 3D..as they did in Avatar...You said that you didn't watch Avatar..so try to watch it..

It was cool, but I wasn't high up enough in the theatre for my neck not to hurt. I saw it in IMAX 3-D. I hope it's not the future. I'm sure the art house movies will stay the same.

I'm not sure about 3D either. I once went to the Imax cinema at Waterloo in London and felt really dizzy and sick. I suspect that 3D is going to be similar.

Oh interesting topic..He really wants to bring Titanic in 3D? I think if it really happened, Titanic will once again go to #1 box office of all time. Many people still have nostalgic feeling about the movie and it really is one of the most romantic movie ever made. People still watching this movie whenever it popped out in their TV. I think it's a really good strategic decision by Cameron.

I've only seen one movie in 3D and I don't think that I will be returning to see a 3D movie any time in the near future. I found that for me it gave me a huge headache and that isn't something that I want to deal with at all. I think that there are more and more people that are putting out movies that are in 3D formats, but I'm not really sure that 3D movies are really the way of the future. In the mean time, I think that it will be an equal share between the two formats of movies.

Hello Gany15k, I perosnally do not like 3D like you it hurts my eyes too with the glasses. I think the glasses are flimsy and not cool and cost more to buy for the movie. I will always perferr 2D... what about the people with eye problems... if they switch to 3D then this pool of people will not be able to go see a good movie... I think that is very unfair again. It not right. We pay alot for these movies and I want be able to see a movie without buying extra stuff to see the movie. Thanks and have a great day Sincerley Unique16

3D is the future, they are already converting most of hollywood movies into 3D in the coming years. It's true we do have to get used to 3D movies, i remember the first time I went, during the first minutes my eyes were really unconfortable but I believe the 3D will be improved and probably in a couple of years we will not even need those big glasses to see the 3 D.

I would not mind seeing it in 3d, but it would be very expensive and I doubt that it would be suitable for children, 3d that is, unless it is something in a cartoon form. Therefore many not cartoon films would be more restrictive. It could that only those 16 and older could see them. The reason would be that some people especially the young have difficulty distinguishing fantasy from reality, and there are some who are so nervous when they see the waters coming up and the ship sinking, they imagine they are there. Now I have a good imagination, and I can easily tell what is real and what is not, and I am sure most can, but there could be some who should not watch 3d for that reason.

I think thats kinda cool, if its true why not people seem to enjoy 3D films though I never got the appeal of those funny glasses, but I think its nice concept for those who like films in 3D I prefer 2D because my eyes get tired of looking through those glasses too.

Titanic in 3D??? I will AVOID it. Avatar was different. It was a sci-fi thriller, but Titanic is a watery movie with emotional. I wonder what BIG difference will a 3D version have to attract repeat viewers, as I am sure almost everyone has seen the movie.

Hiya Gany, Titanic in 3D well I would prefer 2D as well I have seen a bit of a Trailer and it does not impress me that much I still prefer the other as it´s the acting I´m watching not a distraction from the Actors I want to watch. For those that want to watch it that´s okay everyone has a choice they either watch it or they don´t. Actually I love the Film but not the ending I don´t care much for very sad endings like that so I usually turn it off when it gets near to the end bit. Have a great Day all.

Not just the old film again in 3D? I hope he means a new version completely. Really though, that story is so often retold that I think it would have to be fantastically spectacular to draw the viewers. Some of the old titanic with Di caprio and Winset was in 3D I seem to recall. They did a lot of the ship scenes in 3D but not the modern 3D that avatar uses, I mean 3D graphics. I think 3D will get more popular if they reduce the prices, otherwise it will be for the rich mainly.

If it's true about Titanic 3d then i think it will be very interesting and I have to watch it,lol^^And I believe there will be more and more 3d movies in the future since Avatar and Alice in wonderland already earn a lot of attention and get really high turnover out of all the movie right now!
