your job vs your love

i think the two should go together, for our happiness and success. but in case they don't, i would choose career first because i believe that love could wait and understand, and if it can't then, it's not love at all.

I haven't tried this experience and I'm hoping that this wouldn't happen to me and to my boyfriend. I'm still studying and my boyfriend will be working far from me this April. Suppose I will encounter this situation, I will choose my job unless it's really a necessity to quit.

Hi, I'm lucky enough not to have been put in a position however I was in a long term relationship when I changed my career 8 years ago. That didn't go down too well as the guy (Who I'd been with for 5 years) also wanted to do the same thing however refused to do it because it mean't a large pay drop for him. Instead I got the boot 2 months into my new career!!! His loss & I'm now happily married to an awesome guy who is in the same buisiness x I wouldn't give up my career for a "love", If they "loved" me, they wouldn't ask me to or expect me to!!!
