TV Show Season Finale

We all have our favorite TV shows. For me, I like to record them on my DVR because I'm not always home when the show airs on TV. I don't mind that nothing I watch is live anymore since I don't have to watch commercials! However, the last couple of years I've experienced the same thing a few times, and I have no idea how it works out this way! I will follow my show through the entire season only to miss out on the season finale. That happens way more often than it should! It happens for various reasons. One time, my DVR just decided it wasn't going to record the season finale. The recording command was set up correctly, but it just didn't tape! It was completely random. Another time, it did record and got deleted without my knowledge. Perhaps the internal memory was full or something like that. More recently, I was gone for the weekend when the season finale was going to record so I left everything as is. When I got back, I found out that a breaker had blown while we were gone. Guess which circuit? The one my DVR was on! So...needless to say, my finale didn't record that time either. One time, the season finale actually did record, but I thought I might not get to see the finale because my husband and I were about to switch cable companies when we moved to our house, and I would have to turn in my DVR (with all the shows on it I'd already taped, but hadn't watched yet). It ended up that we stayed with the same cable company since they offered us the best deal so I did get to keep my DVR and see that season finale after all. Thank goodness! Have you ever had anything like this happen to you? You may be thinking, why don't you just watch the season finale online? When it happened to me, of course, the finale was never available online until practically a year later, which by then isn't even interesting to me anymore. If I wanted to watch the finale online immediately, I would've had to pay for it! I wasn't about to do that. Isn't that sad? I don't know how it keeps happening to me, but it does! Please share your experiences with your favorite TV show finales.

I know we all have television shows that we watch religiously every week without missing an episode, and me and my wife used to watch CSI Miami,NCIS,NCIS Los Angeles, Criminal Minds,CSI New York, and CSI,and we would watch them every week, and we started recording them on DVR since I work a lot and my wife does not like watching them without me,so we would record the ones we missed and watch them on like the weekend or something, but then we got where we started doing other things and we got so behind on our shows, that we just do not watch them anymore, but we will watch the season finales at the end to see what happens, and we will probably watch the season premieres as well, and I know there has been a couple times where something did not record,or where things just seemed to disappear without anyone admitting to deleting them.

My husband and I still to this day have various shows we like to watch all the time. And of course, just like you and your wife, we always watch them together. It's nice to have that to look forward to when we get home from work. It's nice because it causes us to sit and relax. It makes for a very nice, quite evening.

We have a DVR but don't tape anything on it anymore. His parents taped stuff for us in the den but we didn't watch it and so just told them to delete it. We are way behind on our shows. I don't think it's not recorded anything but one time there was two things recording at the same time and one of the things that was recording didn't tape but a few minutes of it, or it stopped taping 20 minutes before it was going to end, I forget which. In any case, I'm not sure what it was that day but I wasn't concerned as it wasn't a show I watch!

DVRs and TV recording devices can be so frustrating! Either they don't tape or we get too behind to catch up on our all shows and seasons - LOL. I think I've been behind a whole entire season before. Oops! However, if my shows do tape, sometimes I get stressed out when I get on there at all the things I have to watch...I get even more stressed when I see that the DVR memory only has a couple percent left of space! I hate that. Then there's the issue of two shows attempting to tape at once, like you mentioned. Technology can be your best friend or worst enemy!
