Further adventures with Khuay

Just about the time I figured that Khuay had settled down into life as a "normal" cat, he decided to surprise me. OHH what a surprise!! I have to preface this with I have a solar set up for my bath water so that I can keep my electric bills down. I get enough water once a day to take a bath and that's it. Yesterday I had drawn my bath and went outside to reset the unit to heat the water for today. I got a bit side tracked on the way in with saying good afternoon to one of the outside cats. Plus with it being such a warm wonderful spring day I wasn't too quick to come inside again. BIG MISTAKE! I returned to the bathroom to a sight that was incredible. I have a plant hanging on the shower rod where it can get some sun, plus in the pot had one of the self watering glass globes in it. Hanging from the pot by one paw was....yes you guessed it the little terror himself, Khuay! He was swinging back and forth, running along the wall with his hind feet, and grabbing at a spider with his free front paw. I witnessed this happen twice; and just as I decided to grab the little fiend and usher him to the floor, one of the holders on the pot slipped. The pot tipped, Khuay's paw let go; and Khuay, the glass water globe, and potting soil went hurtling into my bath. I've seen Khuay move like greased lightening before, but never this fast! LOL. He was on the patio as fast as a greased pig on roller skates. Fortunately the bath water wasn't HOT, but it was full of potting soil! So, I drained the tub and grabbed the soap, shampoo and conditioner and headed for the garage. I have a water heater there that I use for emergencies. I had it turned on for doing laundry. I got the hoses set up for washing the dogs and had used it on occasion for rinsing mud off my feet. So I grabbed the hose (In my birthday suit) and started to shower. Under the category of it never fails, a neighbor came up the walk beside the huge window in the garage, on his way to knock on my door. Since I didn't answer the door he started down the walk and stopped by the window and peeked in to see if I was there....BOY WAS I THERE!!! He turned absolutely scarlet and raced off...like he's never seen a woman in the shower with shampoo in her hair! I guess I will have to realize that life will NEVER be dull with Khuay around. It has been tough enough reevaluating my thoughts about the brothers. Willy had been so outgoing and I thought he would be the trouble maker...Khauy had always been so quiet and shy....

wow, I bet you wish you had a camera to tape that.. This reminds me of my daughters cat and our white german shepherd dog. The cat was sitting on the window sill while the dog was lying in the sunbeam from the same window. A bird had hit the window and I sware this cat did a back flip and almost landed on the dog who was startled and ran into the other room..That would have made america's funniest videos hands down if only I had my video camera going..

It seems like we need to have a video camera going 24/7 when we have animals! I had posted about Khuay and went to take a nap...(I've been having problems with fatigue. I'll get up for about an hour and then have to take a nap. It's really weird) Anyhow I had woken up from my nap and Willy was beside me. He stretched and rolled over. He fell out of bed on his back and landed on Abby (the pit/lab mix that I have been taking care of). She was so sound asleep that when Willy fell on her it startled her awake and she jumped up and Willy fell off her back into bed. I about wet the bed laughing as Abby raced from the room and Willy calmly went back to sleep.

I had a cat fall into the bathtub when I was in it, fortunately I did not get scratched, but a plant and potting soil, yikes!

Animals will always suprise you with their antics. I sware. If I had a dime for every time my cats did something unperdictable, then I'd be real rich by now. But, saddly this is not the case. But, I'll just have to deal won't I? Your cats are so funny. I hope you would be able to get all that potting soil out of the tub and off the cat.
