It was good to finally get Richard's back story in this weeks episode. I had already guessed that he had arrived on the Black Rock. It was interesting that they made the Black Rock be what knocked the statue down when it ship wrecked on the island. So Richard is something like 170 years old, 140 from when his wife died(1867) to the present year(2007) on the island plus his age when he arrived on the island which I'm taking to be about 30.

I had already figured out that Richard came on the black rock as well. I never realized how old he really was though. And i didn't realize that the black rock was what knocked down the statue. I was wndering why all of a sudden the statue was broken down. I feel bad for Richard, he has had such a hard life. I still don't really get the story of Jacob and he guy in black. How did they get on the island? It seems that before Richard, they were the only two people on the island. Where did they come from? And why is the man in black stuck on the island? I guess we'll just have to watch and see.

I am yet to see this episode. I have been patient for over 6 years now just to figure out what the island is all about. That's what is explained in this episode 8 of season 6. Well Season 6 has taken a good turn and its very interesting. It is putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Its a pity, lost is finally winding up by end of May. All i can say is that this series is one of the best when it comes to the write-ups, the way people are connected in this series, the beauty of the island and of course Benjamin Linus. He he.

I really enjoyed this episode and it was nice to understand why Richard was on the island and his back story was very interesting. I'm not sure what it means for the rest of the series though
