We come across many people, while we are traveling specially if we are using a public transport like a bus or a train and the travel duration is longer. We hardly talk to people sitting next to us.Like,I play games in my cellphone or I simply look outside and listen to music. And I hardly pay attention to the person sitting next to me. But many people say, that he or she knows a particular person as they almost come across regularly while traveling.Have you ever come across something unusual, like these people??? Have you ever made friends while traveling in any public transport?? Please share.. Thanks.

I travelled in the means of the ship going home and it will take 3 days and 2 nights in the ship. I made friends with my neighboring bed. Since I am alone and there is no one i could talk too. Good thing she approached first which I am so hesitant to approach. She invited me to join her in taking the lunch since that first conversation until now we keep in touch and talked about new things in our life. She is the first friend I meet in one of my travels.

I am normally pretty shy, but I find that I enjoy asking people about what they do. I think you have to be careful because there are some crazy people out there, but most people are good and it's fun to find out about people. I think public transportation is a great way to meet new people.

I use the city bus. Sometimes i see the same people every week. Sometimes conversations are started by myself or another person. No real friend ships have been developed. I would describe some as bus friends.

I hardly talk to anybody when I'm on public transport. I normally drive to and from work, so it is rare when I ride the train or the bus. But when I do, I try to enjoy it by taking a nap. I find that the lull makes me sleepy, so I take advantage. I see some people talking when they ride. I guess they make conversations, and make friends. But not me.

Yes, sometimes, if it's a long travel time, I always talk to my seatmate, discussing about anything that we can see outside the vehicle just to past time. But most of the time, I just sleep all through out the trip.

Well, I am usually shy and I do the same you do. I usually dont talk at all with the person sitting next to me, I just spend the time texting or reading a good book, or listening to music. The only occasions I have talked to someone in a bus, for example, it is when that "someone"started the conversation...otherwise, I wont talk at all, and therefore, I have no made any of my friends in a public transport.

Not really but I have carried on comfortable conversation with a few. I guess they could have been potential friends but I have never made a friend from it.
