who wants those darling jeans that ONLY cost $100 irritate anyone other than me? I want to set her in a chair and tell her that a hundred dollars for jeans would require me to work over 12 hours to afford (that's pay after taxes). Then I want to take the really nice jeans handed down from her sister and give them to someone who would really appreciate having ANY clothes to wear. Put it this way, I'm so irritated with her, I refuse to buy Tide any longer.

Hey Maggie, You took the words right out of my mouth. You honestly sound like me. These commercials just reinforce this attitude of entitlement amongst our young people. My Son is now almost 30, but when he was a young teen, he wanted a pair of tennis shoes that cost $120.00. This was back in the early 90's!! He kept begging me and I kept telling him he was nuts to think I would spend that kind of money. Finally, I told him I would give him $40.00 towards his shoes but he had to come up with the rest. Well he did and loved them until a month later they literally fell apart. He came to me and admitted he was wrong. He was so disappointed to lose so much money on something like that. At any rate those commercials irritate me to no end. Leenie

Maggie, It appears you taught your children right. My Son has no problem wearing generics. He grew up happy to get anything new when he grew out of the old. We always had financial struggles and he knew it. His biggest wish was to grow up and supporthis Mom. He still wants to do that. He is Bipolar and struggles to stay in school but he gets his Dad(my ex) to help me out when I really need it. Even with all his inner demons, he has a heart of gold. Leenie

Leenie, you have taught him well and he has been open to learning - what treasures for both of you!
