Hey! Let's buy a new mansion!!! How about a fancy race car??? Think of all those fashion clothes you could get!! 100 pairs of new shoes of every kind would come easy to buy. What else could you get with all that money??? Hmmmm??? We all have our choices to make in life. Why do so many see only the material things in this world???? So many define their success on possessions. They think material things will make them important and happy. Would the 100 pairs of shoes really be more important than changing someone's life who lives on the edge???? Could the mansion and race car ever compare to changing this world for the better???? We are spiritual beings in our true natures. If you act and think spiritually and let all that physical stuff go, you will discover more satisfaction and happiness. See who you really are with the world today. Share that which is special about you. You can pile up the material things or change this world for the better. Even if you don't have ten million dollars, little things will add up!! The choices are all yours!! What will you choose????

First pay off my mortgage, then I would put the rest into a long term certificate of deposit, and I would live of the interest. 10 million at 2% will generate 200,000 dollars a year. Is this mythical money pre-tax or post taxed.

Well let see, my money that is in saving will be used by a bank to make loans. Those loans will go to new family who want to buy their first home, or a start up business. So while you pretend to be helping people, I actually would be.

Money used to help others also gets around. Supplies creates jobs which support people and families on top of the people and families you can pull from the edge. The cycle continues. Pile up the material things around you. See if you find happiness! All our choices brings education. Thanks for stopping by with your comments!!

All David Childress' books is about alternative science, weird history and extraterrestrial archaeology. So with the information in the books, I can learn more about archaeology. I want to travel to all mysterious places such as Khmer City and Gangga Negara City in Malaysia, Macchu Picchu, King Solomon's Mine, Arabian City of Ubar and unique palaces of Tibet. The existence of seven pyramid-like hills near Tasik Chini, Malaysia shows a probability that in the depths of the lake lies an ancient city of Khmer. I'm a Malaysian and with that money, I want to rewrite Malaysian history!! Lets do some digging under the lake!

Johore is a state in Malaysia. A 1,000-year-old city, possibly older than Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Borobudur in Indonesia is believe to have been located in the dense jungle of Johor. Now with that money, I want to rewrite world history!! I want to find the ancient city older than Angkor Wat in Malaysia!

I would choose simplicity. I already like where I live and my car and the "stuff" I've accumulated over the years, so I would put the extra money away to invest in something diversified (mostly very conservatively) and then with the interest or whatever, I would travel more and buy nicer presents for my friends and family.

Hi bird123. I could make a real difference to my life and the people that do matter in my life with ten million. You are right though you don't need money to make a difference to ones you hold dear.

Yes, and I bet you are making a difference with some strangers As well. Sometimes even a small act of kindness can change a person. That person can feel so good that they in turn can help others. It's like the ripples in the water. They spread out and reach many. If I was to receive 10 million dollars I would first and foremost pay my parents bills off, my two daughters bills off and the remaining balance of the mortgage that I have. I would donate a certain amount of money to several charities. I would then take my parents and my daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter on a month vacation to Hawaii or Ireland. Of course a huge amount would be invested. I would also buy a house for both my daughters. I would then move my parents to Puerto Rico with me and have a beautiful house big enough for all of us to live together so I can be there for my parents since they are already approaching their late seventy. They will need help one day and I want them close to me so I can be there for them like they were for me when I was born and throughout my life. What a blessing this would be if this could really happen.

Paying off bills and mortgages for some just invites more spending and a higher life style. Keeping parents close to take care of them when they are old, is always a great thing to do. Thanks for your comments!!

If I had ten million dollars, I would give part of it to my family so that they can be comfortable even in their old age. Then I will put part of it to establish a foundation to help people with mental illnesses in my country. My heart breaks when I see those people who desperately need help and are roaming the streets, dirty and probably hungry and in need of medication. Their condition is also getting worse the more they stay in the streets. I know that our government has no funding for these type of issues, because the culture in my country has always viewed having a family member with illnesses such as schizophrenia or depression as shameful. I will put up that foundation in a way that it will be independent and not need donations from other people. I will constantly sweep the streets and search for these kind of people and care for them until they become well enough to live on their own. If these people cannot afford their medication, I will put up a program so that they can get their medicines, if not for free, through volunteer work.

Sounds like a good plan. When people think homeless, they don't always consider mental illness. Let's hope science and medicine will come up with the cure with all the genetic research going on. With all the money society throws away on wars and such, so many problems could be solved. If only the world could work together instead of being on the quest for power. Thanks for all your comments!!

i hope i don't go mad. have never been in that position. and i don't know how to. but not a bad idea after all. i would probably employ a financial consultant to manage that huge amount of money. returning something back to society would be a good idea too. thanks for the topic.

I would probably split it into three sections, one for spending, one for saving, and one for investing. When you have a couple of million dollars you can make a lot of money by investing in some big companies- the returns will be very nice indeed. Another option might be to buy out a company, but I don't really know if I'd do that. With the money I would spend I would do the usual buy a fancy car and a nice new big house- and then help out any family members who are in need of something.

I'd buy a place in the country and fix it up the way I want it. Nothing fancy, just the opposite - a wood burning stove, a big garden, maybe a fireplace. I'd donate a good chunk of it over time to a friend who has a ministry and probably donate a lot to the Salvation Army and a couple of local homeless shelters. I wouldn't try to spend it all at once, but it would be nice to know that I wouldn't have to worry about money any more.

If I suddenly had $10 million. I will built a house that will never last for eternity. I will buy crown and assets that will never corrode. I will makes friends that will love me for eternity. But since all these things are not possible in earth as the earth won't last for eternity and I won't live on earth for more than a decade, I will build all these things in heaven, a place where moths and terrorist can't destroy. I will do that by serving the people of God, the people that God loves. As God loves everyone, I will help and serve everyone. Since I can still do these things without a $10 million dollar, I don't need the money because I believe God would not look in the amount but the percent of the thing that we have. If I am rich and can't give more, It will simply be a burden for me.
