Have you seen the Banaue Rice Terraces in the Philippines? It is a heavenly view. The towering rice terraces has been built by the Ifugaos years and years ago. If you haven't seen it yet, this is one of the most loved tourists spots in the Philippines.

I have not ventured that far up north. The farthest i've been is bataan. But i'm hoping that someday i will get a chance to see the rice terraces. I think it would be great if you take a look at it when the rice paddies are filled with to be harvested crop. i don't think it's good to look at when it's dry, especially with el nino caused drought.

Let's just hope modernization does not ruin it further. I'm from the Cordilleras where similar landscapes are really exploited and ruined by modernization and expansion of living space. If the place was cared for by the inhabitants of Banaue then it would have still be on the World's wonders list. Let's help to preserve wonderful sites that the Philippines offer.

Yes, but only in pics, i have planned for this trip but it does not always worked out, my friends says the air is so pure once you reached the mountain, or the ricefields.
