Do you know this movie?

I once watched a movie about a guy who was in (or was retired from?) a bomb squad. He had a dog in the film called Boomer. It was a Golden Retriever if I remember right.
I don't remember anything else about the film, but named my Labrador after that movies dog. My husband swears I named my dog after a Battlestar Galactica character and I want to show him that movie to prove that it was that dog he was named after.
Does anyone know, or THINK they know the name of this film?

I'm gonna have to take a guess and say you're correct after looking up that movie. I had just remembered something about Independence Day and a dog named boomer (I think) lol.

There is a dog named Boomer in Independance Day, but its not the movie I'm thinking of. I clearly remember this dog belonging to someone who worked for a bomb squad.

Maybe Blown Away. It had a bomb squad guy that Tommy Lee Jones was playing games with and making him defuse bombs and situations on a personal level. Don't remember the dog much because i saw it a long time ago but I do remember it was a great movie. Hope that helps! :)

Yep, I'm sure now that it was blown away. I'm just waiting for it to show up from netflix now. Of course, its number 300+ under all my hubbys movies so it might be a LONG time befoe I see it again.
